Earlier that morning. Candace after leaving her father’s company.

In the car, her eyes were on the window but her mind was somewhere else entirely, turning over the contents of the file her father had handed her.

She tapped one finger slowly against her knee.

"Maybe I should go pay him a visit." She said to herself. "I might as well see his new wife while I'm at it."

She looked at the driver's reflection in the rearview mirror. She gave him an address.

He adjusted course without comment.
