I froze so hard that the bucket slipped from my hand and crashed against the marble floor. The loud sound echoed through the massive bedroom like thunder.
My husband jerked upright immediately, his eyes widening in shock. His girlfriend quickly grabbed the bedsheet to cover herself, but it was too late. I had already seen everything. What are you doing here, his girlfriend asked out of annoyance. You are too clumsy,Kingsley will divorce you once you have a child. Then he sighed. Not fear,Not guilt. Annoyance. “Why are you standing there like a ghost?” he snapped, foundling his girlfriend boobs like he were wrinkling a wet cloth. “You should’ve knocked.” I stood frozen, unable to breathe as the scene replayed in my head like a nightmare. He lay on the bed with his girlfriend sitted on him.Their lips exploring each other while his right hand grabbed her butt and his left hand pressed against her right nipple. Ella drifted into deep thought. Three years of marriage,my husband never touched me, everyone thinks I'm living the life of a billionaire's wife but who will understand that the man moaning in bed with his lover is my husband. Hey you,get me a condom!. Ella brought out a sachet of condom from her pocket and threw it to Kingsley. You know I'm not desperate for a woman like you, grandpa insists you get pregnant then, I’ll gain my inheritance. But I’ll never touch you,so better get a callboy. The door creaked shut! Ella got dressed in a shimmering red gown and black heels.Without another thought, she headed for the club where she got drunk and ordered for a callboy. Ella staggered slightly when her eyes landed on the callboy she had ordered. "Her!" the callboy said, shock flashing across his face. Ella swallowed hard and tried to steady herself. “You must be the callboy I ordered,” she asked, her voice filled with sorrow. “Yes, I am,” the callboy replied quietly, his eyes never leaving hers. He frowned as Ella nearly lost her balance again. “You’re drunk. Let me get you somewhere safe.” Before she could protest, he lifted her carefully onto his shoulder and walked toward the private hallway. Across the crowded club, Matthew suddenly shot to his feet, his drink slipping from his hand and crashing onto the floor. “Wait!” he shouted, panic written all over his face. Everyone in the club turned to him in confusion, but Matthew’s eyes were fixed on his brother as he carried Ella away. The callboy carried Ella into the Robert Hotel suite and gently laid her on the bed before moving toward the window, his silence unsettling. “Won’t you sleep with me?” Ella’s voice cracked with desperation. “Aren’t you supposed to be a callboy… or are you not even human?” He turned slowly, his expression unreadable. “Whether I’m human or not ,you’ll figure it out when you’re sober.” Ella let out a bitter laugh, her eyes glassy. “My husband won’t touch me… not even you, someone I paid. Am I that unattractive?” The man stepped closer. Desperate housewife! “Tell me everything”. Between shaky breaths, she confessed her marriage was built on debt, her husband's grandfather condition that she must conceive to secure her husband’s inheritance, and her husband kept his distance as if she didn’t exist. The man’s gaze sharpened. “And you believe he won’t object if you go through with this?” She nodded weakly. “He was the one who suggested the condition. He wouldn’t care how it happens.” A long silence filled the room. The callboy pulled off his shirt and began kissing Ella's neck,he found his way to her lips,he explored her lips till her breath caught. He pulled off Ella's dress while she brought out her condom. Do your work!,The callboy said. We don't need the condom, I'm infertile. He kept fucking herwithout mercy. Ella woke suddenly, blinking against the morning light spilling through the curtains. The callboy was already awake, sitting casually on the couch, eating waffles like he belonged there. Her phone rang. “Bitch, where did you sleep last night? Today is Grandpa’s birthday!” a sharp voice snapped through the speaker. Before Ella could respond, the call ended abruptly. She exhaled sharply, sitting up. Without looking at her too long, the callboy pushed the plate toward her. “Eat.” “I don’t need” “You do,” he cut in calmly. Then, almost too casually, he added, “You slept with me last night and now you’re already planning to run back to your husband?” It's grandpa's birthday. He ignored her and made a quick call. “Tell the CEO of Swiss Company to wait. Five minutes.” He ended the call and finally looked at her properly. Then, Ella asked, “Can I be your sugar mummy instead? So you stop following rich men.” A faint smile tugged at his lips. “You’re the first woman who’s made me laugh this year.” The atmosphere shifted—heavier, closer. The callboy narrowed his eyes. “Do I look like a callboy to you”. Silence dropped. Before she could react, he stepped closer. “I’ve never been loved before. I don’t even know what it feels like… so I thought maybe I could buy it.”Ella said in a low voice. Ella hesitated. “Then what do you want?” He paused. “Five thousand dollars a month.” “Five thousand?” she repeated, stunned. Before she could argue, he moved suddenly too close and brushed his lips briefly against her neck. Ella froze. When he pulled back, there was a faint mark left behind. “My gift to Gift to grandpa.” Ella hurriedly put on her clothes. She used a piece of scarf she found in the room to cover the faint mark on her neck. Ella arrived at Grandpa’s house. “Hey, Ella, you wear scarves now?” Kingsley asked. “I do. Maybe you never noticed because you’re always busy with Kourtney,” Ella replied calmly. Kingsley’s expression darkened immediately. “Watch your mouth,” he warned. Before the tension could rise further, Grandpa interrupted. “That’s enough.” A few moments later, Ella and Kingsley stood beside Grandpa, singing together. “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, Grandpa…” After the song, they handed him their gifts. Grandpa smiled faintly before speaking. “The only gift that can truly make me happy is an heir.” Kingsley scoffed lightly. “Grandpa, you know I’m not desperate enough to sleep with a woman like Ella. Besides, there are thousands of women willing to bear my child.” Ella’s face stiffened, but she stayed silent. Grandpa suddenly cut in. “No. The only child I will ever accept is the one Ella gives birth to.” The atmosphere turned tense. Then Grandpa handed Kingsley a photograph. “This is Aiden,” he said. “Find him.” Ella tried to glance at the picture, but Kingsley quickly pulled it away. “Don’t you have manners?” he snapped. “Kingsley!” Grandpa called sharply. “Have some manners.”Kourtney arrived at the Kingsley mansion and began pacing back and forth in Kingsley's room. Her restless movements soon caught Kingsley's attention. He walked over to her, concern evident on his face."Kourtney, why are you pacing? Is something wrong?"Kourtney bit her lower lip.Should I tell him what I heard? she wondered. If I tell him, this could be my chance. He'll inform Grandpa, Ella's marriage will fall apart, and maybe... just maybe... Kingsley will marry me instead.A smile almost crept onto her face.I'm so lucky. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realize Kingsley had called her name again."Kourtney!"She blinked and looked at him."Huh?""What are you thinking about?"She took a deep breath."Kingsley... there's something I need to tell you."He nodded, and the two of them sat on the edge of the bed."What is it?" he asked.Kourtney hesitated for a moment before speaking."Today, I overheard Ella talking to someone."Kingsley's expression became serious."W
Mathew was standing outside one of the shops in the mall when he suddenly caught sight of Ella. His eyes widened in surprise. Her stomach was noticeably swollen, resembling that of a woman who was about four months pregnant.Excitement surged through him. He immediately assumed that Aiden was responsible for the pregnancy. He instinctively reached for his phone, intending to call Aiden and share the news. However, he paused and slipped the phone back into his pocket."No," he muttered to himself. "I need to hear the truth from her first."Determined to find out, Mathew walked toward Ella. As he approached, countless questions raced through his mind. The one he wanted answered most was simple:Who was responsible for the pregnancy?Mathew walked up to Ella, a smile spreading across his face."Hey, Ella. How have you been?"Ella turned and smiled politely."Hi, Mathew. I've been fine."His gaze dropped to her swollen belly, and his smile widened."Oh... you're pregnant.""Yes," Ella rep
Kingsley found his way to one of the rooms in the villa. He sat down at the edge of the bed with his face buried in his palms. The words of his father echoed in his ears “If you insist on marrying the woman you love,I sever all ties with you and you’ll no longer be the heir of this family.I do not want to ever set my eyes on you.”Then came again the words of Ella"You want me to marry you? I can't. I won't. You already have a bride waiting for you."He saw pain in her eyes,he saw jealousy but he can't act on that because she keeps pushing him away.Kingsley stood on his feets,he walked towards the long mirror hung on the wall.He looked into the mirror and saw a reflection of himself. He flickered his fingers across the mirror and said to himself aloud “I’m a man,I have riches,I have emotions and I won't let family dictate for me.I will marry whom I love and also makes sure my family approves this marriage. It is either Ella or no one.”Aiden paced nervously toward the bookshelf as th
Back on the sofa, Aiden turned to face Ella."I heard everything he said," he admitted quietly."While I was caressing your thighs.""Uh...," Ella stammered, avoiding his gaze. "I think I've told you how badly I'm being treated in this marriage. It shouldn't come as a surprise.""It isn't," Aiden replied. "What I don't understand is why you still care about him. He treats you badly, yet you keep pushing me away."Ella looked down at her hands. "Well... we almost got caught.""I don't care if he catches us," Aiden said firmly as he pulled her closer."Ella, marry me. Please. Let me take care of you."Ignoring his plea, Ella reached for the remote control and switched the television to a news channel."You watch the news?" Aiden asked, surprised."Yes," Ella answered. "I like knowing what's happening in the country."The newscaster's voice suddenly filled the room."Aiden Robert, heir to the Robert family , is set to marry the daughter of another wealthy family. It seems the rich will a
Ella returned from the hospital clutching the pregnancy results tightly against her chest. Every step she took into the grand Matthews villa felt heavier than the last. The doctor’s warning echoed inside her head like a curse. You must not have sex with your husband until you give birth. Any stress to the pregnancy could be dangerous. Her fingers trembled around the envelope. If Aiden found out the truth now, everything would fall apart. “Where have you been?” Aiden’s deep voice startled her so badly that the scan almost slipped from her hands. He stood at the bottom of the staircase, tall and intimidating in his black shirt, his sharp eyes already narrowing suspiciously. Ella forced a smile. “I just went out for some fresh air.” Aiden stepped closer. “Then why are you hiding something?” His gaze dropped to the papers behind her back. “N-nothing,” she stuttered. Before she could move, Aiden grabbed her waist and pulled her against his chest. “I’ve missed you.”
“We have an auction tonight,” Kingsley said while adjusting the cuffs of his expensive suit. “Dress properly, Kourtney. Important people will be there.”Kourtney smiled instantly, already excited by the thought of luxury, cameras, and attention.Ella sat quietly across the room, pretending not to listen, though every word scraped against her nerves.Important people.Rich people.Fake people. She lowered her eyes to the untouched cup of tea in her hands.I won’t be here much longer anyway, she reminded herself.Nine months. That was the deal she had made with herself.Carry the child. Survive the marriage.Leave quietly.Simple.At least, it was supposed to be.By evening, the Wilfred ballroom glittered like royalty had descended upon it. Crystal chandeliers bathed the massive hall in golden light while politicians, billionaires, celebrities, and socialites filled the room with laughter and expensive perfume.Ella stood beside Kingsley like a decoration rather than a wife.Kingsley b

Ella sat stiffly in the front seat while the city lights blurred past the windows. Behind her, Kourtney and Kingsley were tangled together, laughing between kisses like she didn’t even exist.“Ella,” Kingsley suddenly called. “Kourtney’s birthday is next week.”“So? What does that have to do with m
“What are you doing here?” Ella whispered sharply as she stared at the callboy. “And why are you even putting on a mask?”The ballroom lights shimmered against the black mask covering half of his face. Around them, the music had faded into nervous murmurs as guests watched the strange scene unfold.
Aiden held Kingsley’s wrist effortlessly, his expression hidden beneath the mask. The entire balcony fell silent.Ella stared at him in shock. The callboy!.What is he doing here?, everything was going through Ella's thought. The tension in the air became suffocating.“What the hell?” Kingsley barke
