Chapter 6

Author: Mister Rhapsody
The first time I was brought to the police station, Captain Zimmer asked me why I mingled with that crowd, and I told him that I wanted to earn money.

Samantha had been the one to introduce me to that method of earning money. I thought that she was a good person.

When the semester first started, I had spent all my money to pay tuition, and I could not buy any bedding. I could only sleep on the bed board.

Since I could not pay for utilities, I could not use the shower, so I stank.

“Mark Jones. You know him, don’t you? He once was a thug working under Luther too, but he suddenly went missing, and that’s around the time Luther stopped forcing you to earn money for him—”I could not listen anymore and shook my head rapidly. “Stop! Please stop talking! I’ll confess, alright?”But Captain Zimmer ignored my pleas and continued, “At the same time Mark disappeared, Luther’s driver went missing too. Luther has already admitted that Mark killed his driver. “Before he fled, Mark threatened Luther and told him to let you go, or he would kill Luther. He did stop forcing you to work because of the threat. “So, Mark must care about you a lot, right? He has been keeping in contact with you. After learning that you were going to kill Samantha and the other two, he was worried that you’d ruin the rest of your life with blood on your hands, so he poisoned them. “You’re not the murderer, alright. We’ve got a new clue that shows that the murderer poisoned them in the library

Regardless of whether Captain Zimmer believed in me or not, he could not find me guilty because I was not the murderer. I did not buy any poison. He would not be able to find any concrete proof. Even so, I was thrown into a detention cell, and I watched as Captain Zimmer kept searching day and night, only to no avail. Then, he found a clue through my statements. “Mindy, I found clues to arrest Luther and found some of his illegal activities. He has already admitted to Samantha and the other two helping him get control over you.”He pushed his notebook toward me. On it were all his investigation notes. “I found that after he kidnapped and hurt you, he coerced you into helping him earn money and do his dirty work. You agreed to it so that you could take revenge. But why did you stop working for him three months later? “He’s a heartless monster. You also sent the thugs who hurt you to jail. He should have exploited you even more brutally, so why did he spare you during this per

After I told them these things, Watson fell silent, and Captain Zimmer teared up. “Mindy, are you telling the truth or lying? If Samantha and the other girls are indeed accomplices, you could have told me and asked for my help. Why did you choose to kill them and ruin the rest of your life?”Help? How was Captain Zimmer supposed to help me? Even if he threw all of them in jail, it did not matter. My life was ruined, and as long as Luther and the others were still alive, they were not going to spare me and were going to take revenge on me in even more brutal ways. I could only run away, but I could not accept fleeing just like that. That was why I had to make them pay before I escaped. I wanted them dead!Unfortunately, they died, and I was not the one who had killed them. At that point, I got so emotional that I trembled, and my heart burned with hate. “In order to find a chance to kill them, I gritted my teeth and worked with them. I endured this hellish life for a year! So,

Since I could not pay for utilities, I could not use the shower, so I stank. Even if I used rainwater to wash myself, I still could not get rid of my stench, and the roommate sleeping next to me could not stand it anymore. That was why she chased me out. Samantha then came forward to mediate the situation. She paid my utilities for me and introduced me to a person so that I could earn some money through part-time work. The person she introduced me to was the piece of trash who had dragged me into the abyss. Her goal was to collect recruitment fees. Luther kept her aroun

“I’ll tell you what it really means to be a horrible person. “I know of a person called Lana Lane. She’s only two years older than I am, but just like me, she started living the same kind of rough life as I did at a young age. “Guess how much she makes a month? More than twenty thousand dollars! Not only did she sell her body, but she also set up honey traps and scammed people. “You know this. You handled her case yourself! Meanwhile, I don’t even have one hundred dollars in my savings account. I got hit, and I don’t have any money to get my wounds treated. Do you think I’m like Lana?”Captain Zimmer scoffed impatiently and did not answer, but Watson shouted angrily, “Mindy, what you need to do is confess to your crimes right now, not talk about these useless things!“How much you earn won’t change the fact that you committed murder! “We’ve already investigated you a long time ago. You sold your body too and did honey traps. The only difference between you and Lana Lane is th

  • The Dormmates Who Ostracized Me Died   Chapter 4

Captain Zimmer held a flashlight as he took photos as evidence in the dark, messy room. I gritted my teeth as I watched. I felt chills all over my body. There were three photos on the wall, along with some scrap paper. Those photos were of the three dormmates, and there were red “X” marks on them. The scrap papers detailed their daily habits and where they usually went. Underneath the photos was a table, and on it were sedatives, wire ropes, and a knife. No matter what, I had a plan to kill them. Once he finished taking the photos, Captain Zimmer came to me and took out the handcuffs again. In his eyes were disappointment and disgust. “Mindy, I really hoped that you weren’t the murderer and that you could still be saved. But… Heh.”He laughed wryly and put the handcuffs on me. However, I shoved him away. With messy hair and a face full of blood, I glared at him. “You’re laughing at me? Why?!”When I was younger, my father beat me up so badly that I could not get up; I o
