Cassian silenced the comm-stone light and put it back in his pocket.

That hint of intimacy in his eyes vanished with the black light. It felt like a thin needle had been pulled from my chest, dulling the pain.

I fiercely pushed the surging pheromones back down—the driver was still in the car. I couldn't lose control here.
