Will she be able to make wise decisions now that she's taking her rightful place on the throne? On top of these new coming responsibilities, there's hunters on the prowl trying to abolish all supernatural creatures. One of the duties Rieka will face as Luna Queen is having to protect all werewolves and other supernaturals. Through rejection, heartbreak, and anger Rieka has to figure out how to handle the pressure in this crazy world. She also has to figure out who she can trust and who she will want by her side as the next Alpha King. This is the prequel to, "The Blind Wolf Princess" You do not have to read "The Blind Wolf Princess" to understand this book :)

Prologue

I guess you’re here to learn about the girl who had to hide her true identity, huh?

That’s me. Rieka Hart or well… Riley Ford. I suppose it depends on when you met me.

My parents have looked out for me the best that they can. The truth is, someone wants to take down the Royal Pack and kill the Alpha King and Luna Queen.

We don’t know whether these are fellow werewolves or some other supernatural race. All we know is that their goal is to end my family line. Why?

Because we are gemstone wolves.

Gemstone wolves are the royal line, and each one of us has eyes that look like gemstones and give us an enhanced ability. When we meet our true mate and mark them, it changes their eyes to have a gold band around them, linking them with the gemstone wolf and enhancing their own abilities.

My parents tried to have lots of kids, especially when they knew that their line was under attack. But all they were able to have was… me.

My real name is Rieka Hart. 

I am the true heir to the throne. I need to take my rightful place as Luna Queen over all of werewolf kind. My abilities as a gemstone wolf help maintain the balance needed in the supernatural world.

My biological parents are Alpha King Carter Hart and Luna Queen Camille Hart; they are in charge of the Royal Pack. I am their only child. Everything they have done is to keep me safe.

It doesn’t matter that I was sent away, that I’m not allowed to grow up with my parents by my side. It doesn’t matter that I was placed with a random family that I had never met before. My parents trusted them, and I’ll get to have a ‘normal’ life. Whatever that means.

I will follow all of the safety measures they set out for me. I will sit with the trusted Oracle Witch Circe Sunbeam regularly so she can hide my glowing sapphire-blue eyes from the world; I will wear the spray she created that masks my scent so others will believe I am human, and if she warns me of trouble in my future then I will head her warnings, and on top of it all, I will act like my enhanced abilities don’t exist. 

I will do all this and more to guarantee my survival so that when the time is right, I can take my rightful place on the throne.

I vow to never forget who I am and what I am born to do.

I’ve got 2 amazing parents and 2 little brothers who drive me insane. I go to a “normal” high school and act like I don’t know about the werewolf population that attends the school. I blend in with the humans because that’s what is expected of me.
