I waited for Lady Miriam and my brother outside the territorial chamber.

The voices that had filled the room only moments ago had faded into quiet conversations as advisers gathered their papers and scribes carried away stacks of records.

I held my own notes against my chest.

Before today, I had expected to spend the entire hearing listening in silence but instead, people had listened to me.

It still didn't feel real as I kept on thinking about it.
