LOGINNora 's POV
Never in my life did I think I would wake up to the realization that someone had thrown me off a six-story building… and I was still somehow alive. Sharp pain slammed into me the moment I opened my eyes, and I winced instantly, squeezing them shut again. “Okay… nope,” I whispered weakly. “This is not a normal headache.” When I finally forced my eyes open again, the room came into focus. My brows pulled together. Where the hell am I? I tried to sit up and immediately regretted it. My head throbbed violently, sending a sharp wave of pain through my skull, and I hissed softly before collapsing back onto the pillow. “…Is anyone here?” I croaked, my voice barely cooperating. The door flew open like whoever was outside had been waiting for my dramatic return to consciousness. A guy rushed in. Blonde hair, slightly messy and tattoos crawling up his arms, completely shirtless. He was clearly younger than me…couldn't be older than twenty five” And I had never… not once in my thirty eight years on this earth looked at a younger man and felt anything other than indifference. So I could not explain what was happening to me right now. He was annoyingly, offensively… hot. I was literally just waking up from the dead and I know this is the worst thing to think right now but… I was fucking horny just by the mere sight of this stranger. He stopped dead the moment he saw me awake. “Oh my God,” he said, almost laughing in relief. “You’re finally awake.” I immediately pushed myself back on the bed, wincing. “Who are you?” I snapped. “And why do you look like a rejected biker gang leader?” He blinked. Then smiled like I was the funny one here. “Wow,” he said, dragging a chair closer. “Okay. You’re alive and already disrespectful. I like that.” “I don’t care what you like,” I shot back. “What am I doing here? How did I get here? And who the hell are you?” He raised both hands slightly. “Slow down. Too many questions.” “Answer them,” I said through clenched teeth. He exhaled and leaned back in the chair. “Fine,” he said. “I saved your life.” I stared at him. “You apparently tried to commit suicide. Fell off a building. I found you, rushed you to the hospital, and you’ve been in a coma for three weeks.” I blinked slowly. “…I’m sorry, what?” I shook my head immediately. “No,” I said firmly. “That’s not what happened.” He tilted his head slightly. I swallowed, my throat suddenly tight. “My husband pushed me,” I said slowly, each word heavier than the last. “Off a balcony, because of his mistress, my best friend” His smile faded a little at that.. “That’s not what he told the press,” he said calmly, leaning back in the chair like he had nowhere urgent to be. “And it’s a little weird you’re still calling him your husband.” I frowned instantly. “What are you talking about?” My voice came out sharper now, panic threading through it. “He tried to kill me” The guy raised a brow. “He’s married,” he corrected simply. “And currently on his honeymoon with his wife.” My whole body went cold. “What?” I whispered. A hollow laugh escaped me, sounding broken even to my own ears. “He left me to die,” I whispered, anger cracking through my shock. “He betrayed me after five years of marriage… a sexless marriage… no child… nothing to show for all my IVF treatments.” My hands started shaking. “My father is going to kill me,” I added, almost to myself now. “I’m going to lose everything…” The guy frowned slightly. “Okay, you’re not making sense,” he said. “I’ve been living a fake life,” I said bitterly. “All of it. Because I was trying to build the perfect marriage… the perfect man… so I could take over my father’s empire.” My laugh broke halfway. “And he gave me a five-year ultimatum,” I continued, voice cracking now. “A husband or I lose everything.” “Typical Gerald Lennox , he doesn't ever change” My head snapped up. “What did you just say?” I pushed myself further up, ignoring the pain flaring through my skull.. “How do you know my father?” I demanded. “Who are you?” “I know everything about you Genevieve Lennox ” Every nerve in my body went on high alert How does he know that? My eyes darted to the side table. The vase was right there enough to do damage. I grabbed it immediately and pointed it at him with both hands. “I know what you are,” I warned. “You’re a kidnapper. You want money? Fine. Let me go right now, and I’ll make sure my father doesn’t come after you.” He stared at me and burst into laughter. “And you think a kidnapper has the patience to nurse a dying woman back to life?” “Everyone knows my father…but nobody knows me,” I snapped. “I grew up in isolation because of my illness. I was supposed to make my first public appearance this year as CEO. So how the fuck do you know who I am?” A slow smirk spread across his face. "I'll tell you everything," he said, leaning back in his chair, "but first I want to make you an offer." I stared at him and let out a short, disbelieving laugh because the audacity was almost impressive. "Are you insane? I don’t even know who you are. What makes you think I’d accept any offer from you?" "Because you're in deep shit right now and I'm the only one who can help you," he said simply. My brows tightened. "Oh really?" "The man who tried to kill you is alive, free, and currently living as though you never existed. Don’t you want him to pay for what he did to you?" That landed harder than I wanted it to, for a moment I was silent, then I straightened slightly, forcing my voice to stay cold. "If you have no intention of telling me who you are, then forget your offer." He studied me for a long moment before leaning back in his chair again, crossing his arms. "Fine," he said at last. "Since you're so interested," he continued, his gaze locked on mine, "I'll introduce myself properly." "My name is Norman Walter, CEO of Monarch Technology”Genevieve's POV Dr. Whitmore reached across the desk and gently placed her hand over mine."Genevieve, please listen to me. The surgery will significantly improve your chances. I know you're exhausted, and I know you've been through more procedures than anyone should ever have to endure, but this isn't the time to give up."I slowly shook my head."It isn't that simple, Doctor. Surgery changes everything. It means putting my life on hold again, spending months recovering, and even then there's no guarantee that I'll ever be able to have a child.""There are no guarantees in medicine," she replied softly. "But refusing treatment only makes things more dangerous."I smiled sadly."Exactly. There are no guarantees. The surgery doesn't guarantee that I'll become a mother, and it doesn't even guarantee that I'll survive the operation. If nothing is certain, then shouldn't I be allowed to choose how I want to live the time I have?"She stared at me, unable to answer immediately. After a lo
Genevieve's POV I leaned over the bed and pressed a gentle kiss against Norman's cheek. He stirred almost immediately, a sleepy smile tugging at the corners of his lips before he reached for me instinctively."Mmm... five more minutes," he murmured, his voice husky with sleep.A laugh escaped my lips."You said the same thing ten minutes ago."He cracked one eye open and looked at me with mock annoyance before wrapping an arm around my waist."Come back to bed.”"I have work, remember?""So do I."His smile became teasing."But my work can wait if it means keeping my beautiful wife hostage for another five minutes."I shook my head, carefully lifting his arm away from my waist."Nice try, Mr. Adams."He sighed dramatically and buried his face deeper into the pillow."I swear one day I'm going to convince you that mornings are made for cuddling and sweet sex”“We had sex all through the night Norman, don't you get tired” "Not when I have a sexy wife” I laughed again before bending d
Nadia's POV The moment I stepped into the house, I didn't even bother taking off my heels.Dennis was sitting alone in the living room, staring blankly at the television screen that was still replaying footage of the incident outside the restaurant. He looked exhausted."Can you see how foolish you are?”He immediately looked up."Baby, please, I can explain."I laughed bitterly."Oh, please don't 'baby' me, and kindly keep your ridiculous explanations to yourself."I tossed my handbag onto the nearest chair."Can you see what you've caused?”He opened his mouth, but I didn't give him the chance to interrupt."Just when I thought I was finally going to enjoy my girls' trip to Milan this summer, you decided to ruin everything with your stupidity."I pointed angrily toward the television."Now the whole of New York is talking about you.”He rubbed both hands over his face."I don't know how Nora suddenly became so bold. Can you believe she actually slapped me?"I stared at him in disbe
Nadia's POV I leaned comfortably against the headboard trying to catch my breath, after four rounds of wild sex.Jason was a beast in bed, the major reason I refused to let him go.Jason is twenty-seven years old and one of New York's fastest-rising photographers.Tall, ridiculously handsome and effortlessly charming, he had the kind of smile that made women forget why they'd come into his studio in the first place.Ironically, I had met him the exact same way.Almost a year ago, I had booked a private luxury photoshoot for one of the fashion campaigns I was endorsing. Everyone in the industry had been talking about the mysterious young photographer whose work could make anyone look like the cover of a magazine.Curiosity had brought me to his studio but Desire had kept me coming back.Jason knew exactly what to say, exactly how to make a woman feel beautiful, desired and important. Unlike Dennis, who was old school and very boring, Jason made me feel like I was the only woman in
Genevieve's POV The call ended before I could ask another question.I slowly lowered the phone and looked at Norman."Can you turn on the TV?"Without wasting another second, he picked up the remote from the coffee table and switched on the television. The screen immediately showed a large headline.BUSINESS TYCOON DENNIS ADAMS ACCUSED OF HARASSING EX-WIFE OUTSIDE MANHATTAN RESTAURANT.Immediately followed by the face of a female news anchor sitting behind the studio desk."Good evening. We interrupt our scheduled programming with breaking news involving Adams Group CEO Dennis Adams, whose troubles appear to be going from bad to worse."The television switched to footage taken outside the restaurant. The camera clearly showed Dennis grabbing my wrist just as I attempted to walk away..A second later…Smack! The sound of my slap echoed through the living room. The footage froze on Dennis's stunned expression before returning to the newsroom. The reporter continued calmly."This video,
Genevieve's POV The moment I stepped into the house, I slammed the front door so hard that the sound echoed through the entire living room. My handbag flew from my shoulder and landed on the couch as I began pacing furiously across the marble floor."I cannot believe that arrogant idiot!" I shouted, running both hands through my hair. "The audacity!”Norman rushed out of the study immediately, his brows drawn together in concern. He took one look at my face and instantly knew something was wrong."Whoa, baby, calm down," he said gently, hurrying toward me. He placed both hands on my shoulders and stopped my pacing. "Take a deep breath for me."I tried to pull away, but he held me firmly. "I'm serious. In... and out."I reluctantly followed his lead, inhaling deeply and then exhaling slowly. He made me repeat it twice more until my heartbeat finally began to settle."Good," he murmured. "Now tell me what happened."I threw my hands into the air in frustration. "I'm so angry right
Nora 's POV Dennis didn’t even wait for me to process what was happening.“You heard her,” he said flatly, his voice leaving no room for argument. “Go do it.”I stood there frozen, staring at him, waiting for even a flicker of hesitation, but there was nothing.Nadia leaned into him dramatically,

Nora 's POV “No,” I said, wiping at my tears with trembling fingers. “No… this is insane.”An hysterical laugh burst out of me, tears rolling down my cheeks as I shook my head.“This is a prank, right?” I looked from Dennis to Nadia, desperately searching their faces.I swallowed hard, my chest r
