LOGIN"You’re a Kane, Daniels. You’re property, not a person." For ten years, those were the only words I heard from the Moretti triplets. As the daughter of disgraced junkies, I was the resident "Charity Case" at the Moretti Family Estate, forced to scrub floors while the three heirs to a billionaire high-tech empire ruled the Blackridge underworld. Nickie, Matteo, and Luca were my tormentors—cruel, breathtaking, and untouchable. Then I turned eighteen. My Noir identity synced, my neural-links flared to life, and the air grew thick with a scent that made my blood boil: Them. In the Biker Mafia world, data doesn't lie, and the code says I belong to all three. Now, the brothers who once dragged me through the dirt are trading their cruelty for a dark, possessive hunger. They’ve cleared their beds and their calendars, determined to claim their match. I didn't look up from the grease-stained floor of the Moretti Family Estate. "It’s 5:00 AM, Teo. The sun isn't even up."
"And yet, here you are, slacking," Matteo “Teo” Moretti sneered, kicking my bucket over. Soapy water bloomed across the tile, soaking my boots. "Happy birthday for tomorrow, Charity Case. Or should I say, happy debt-anniversary?"
I stared at the mess. Tomorrow was November eleventh. I was turning eighteen, the age where most girls in the Syndicate started looking for a way out or a way up. For me, it was just the day I officially became property. It was also the twenty-first birthday of the Moretti triplets—the princes of the Blackridge underworld.
"Teo, leave the girl alone," Luca Moretti called out, leaning against the doorframe. He looked like a saint and acted like a devil. He walked over and tugged a strand of my hair loose from my bun. "She’s got a big day. First day as a legal asset of the Moretti high-tech empire. We wouldn't want her falling asleep at the servers, would we?"
"Get lost, Luca," I muttered, grabbing a rag.
"Watch the tongue, Daniels," Nickie “Nic” Moretti’s cold, authoritative voice cut through the room. The eldest. The future Don. He stepped into the kitchen, his leather jacket smelling of gasoline and expensive cologne. "My father didn't buy your parents' drug debts just for you to give us attitude. You’re a Kane. Your name is dirt in this city. Be grateful you’re cleaning our floors instead of rotting in a ditch like Victor and Helena."
"I’m working it off, Nic. Every hour is logged," I said, my voice trembling despite myself.
"You'll be working it off until you're gray," Nic replied, his blue eyes icy. "Now, quit stalling. We have a War Council meeting at the Stronghold later. Breakfast. Now."
I moved like a ghost through the kitchen, dodging the triplets as they shoved each other and laughed, their massive frames dominating the room. They were 6'4" of pure muscle and ego, bred for the biker life and polished by the tech billions the Morettis pulled from their "legitimate" software fronts.
"Is that the last pancake, Charity?" Teo asked, his hand blurring as he snatched the plate from under my nose.
"I haven't eaten since yesterday," I said, my stomach churning.
"Keep it that way. Those leggings are looking tight, and the Syndicate doesn't need a heavy load on the back of a bike," he laughed, shoving the entire thing into his mouth.
"I’m not a biker, Teo. I’m an analyst in training. That was the deal," I reminded him, clutching my hands into fists.
"The deal is whatever Nic says it is tomorrow," Luca whispered in my ear, his breath hot. He reached out and snapped my hair tie, letting my blonde curls fall over my shoulders. "Wear it down, Daniels. It makes you look less like a servant and more like a target."
I didn't cry. I hadn't cried since I was nine years old, the year the Morettis hauled me out of a crack house and told me I owed them my life. Tomorrow, I’d be eighteen. I’d have my degree soon. I just had to survive the Moretti brothers for seven more months.
At Virelli Luxury Plaza, the atmosphere was thick with the scent of wealth and exhaust. I was trying to slip into the back of the tech wing when Juliette Knox and Yva Sinclair blocked my path.
"Look at those patches on that jacket," Juliette laughed, flicking the sleeve of my oversized coat. "The Morettis really keep their charity cases on a budget, don't they?"
"Leave it, Juliette," I said, trying to push past.
"Wait," Yva said, looking at me with a strange, calculating glint. "You're actually decent-looking under all that grease, Daniels. If you had the credits, you might actually pass for Syndicate royalty."
"I just want to get to my terminal," I muttered.
"We have a problem," Juliette said, dropping the act. "Professor Havenway is threatening to boot us from the Syndicate’s junior coding program if we don't ace this encryption final. If we fail, our fathers will pull our bike privileges."
I looked at the tablet she was holding. It was high-level stuff, but to me, it was a nursery rhyme. "I can fix it. I’ll ghostwrite the code for both of you. You just have to input it with your own signatures."
Juliette and Yva exchanged a look. "What do you want for it, Charity?"
"A set of clean clothes. A burner phone. And a new hair tie," I said, my voice steady. "And don't ever call me Charity again."
Mina squinted at me, her red lips curving into a smirk. "Deal. But if we get caught, we’ll tell Nic you tried to sabotage us."
"You won't get caught," I said, reaching for the tablet. "I’m a Kane. We’re experts at disappearing."
Luca Moretti POV“Catering is set in the dining hall!” Helena calls out from downstairs. My brothers and I have been locked in Teo’s bedroom with Daniels, breathing the same heavy air. We head down the grand staircase together.“This is going to be an absolute disaster,” Teo mutters, a wicked smirk on his lips. Our mother never handles domestic tasks. Ever. The estate always employs a five-star private chef, a full team of uniform maids, or Daniels, who had been trained by the previous culinary staff to manage the kitchen.“I’m sure she didn't poison it,” I say, though the heavy scent of charred bread is already drifting up the marble stairs.“It’s about time she learned,” Nic grumbles, his boots clicking on the tile. “Why should Daniels handle the entire maintenance of this house?”“Where the hell is Daniels?” I ask, stopping on the landing as I realize her weight isn't behind us.“She was right next to us in my room,” Teo says, looking back.“Maybe she’s using the luxury bath,” Nic
Luca Moretti POV“I’m not some fucking street rat you can throw around!” Teo snarls, his leather vest creaking as he lunges forward.“Shut your mouth,” Nic warns, his voice dropping into a dangerous, low hiss. “We’re inside a private clinic.”“I didn't mean to push Daniels that far into the current,” Teo grumbles, turning his face away from the corridor lights. His eyes are raw, wet with unshed tears.“Look at you, you’re fucking crying,” I say, mocking him to hide how loose my own chest feels.“Back off!” Teo snaps, his jaw tight. He violently wipes his face with the heavy sleeve of his jacket.“I don't have a vendetta against Daniels,” he mutters.“Neither do I,” Nic adds, his expression completely fractured.“Yeah, but you don't feel the pull the way I do,” I say, my throat closing up as the reality hits. Teo’s head snaps up, his eyes widening. A rogue tear slips down my cheek. I turn to bolt down the hallway, unable to let them see me break, but Nic lunges out. His heavy arms lock
Luca Moretti POV“Move your fucking hands off her, Teo!” Nic roars, his leather jacket creaking as he shoves our brother back.I push myself up from the gravel, wiping off the grease and dirt from the garage floor. I look like a total amateur in front of my older brothers. Weak. Pathetic.“How the hell do you let a girl put you on your ass, Luca!” Teo barks, his knuckles raw and bleeding from the fight.Nic doesn't even hesitate. His hand flies out, a brutal smack cracking right across Daniels’ face. I gasp, staring at her. Her jaw clenches, but she doesn't drop. I’ve seen Nic and Teo break ribs with that kind of force. Before she can recover, Teo steps in and hits her too, the sound echoing off the metal walls of the Moretti Family Estate.“Stop it!” Daniels screams, her voice cracking as she tries to blink through the pain. They shove her hard, sending her stumbling right toward me.“Hit her back! Claim your spot in this family! What kind of Moretti are you?” Teo yells, driving his
The scent in the room tells me she is getting wetter and warmer between her legs by the second.“Right... um... so I have a serious question for the three of you,” she mumbles, her voice sounding a little breathless. We all stop moving our hands, holding our breath as we wait for whatever she is about to drop on us.“Why exactly did you guys treat me with so much pure hatred while we were growing up in this compound?” she asks real soft.Oh, dirt. My stomach completely turns over. I never hated you, my queen.“And please, actually think about the answer before you say something stupid like 'we were just boys' or 'we were young and dumb'—those are completely garbage excuses. I have spent years wondering why we could never just be friends,” she says, letting out a heavy sigh. The bedroom goes completely dead silent, the tension thick enough to cut with a blade.“Was it literally just because my family was broke and my parents were considered a massive financial burden in the eyes of the
Have you ever gone to bed in one circle of hell and woken up in another? I have.I opened my eyes to a room with surgical white walls and a floor of polished marble that felt like ice against my skin. The bed beneath me was massive, carved from heavy black oak and layered with white Egyptian cotton
“Stay under the sheets, Noir. It’s my watch,” Nickie murmured, his voice a low vibration against my collarbone.“You’re supposed to be sleeping,” I whispered, shifting so my face was buried in his chest. The Moretti brothers had implemented a rigorous twenty-four-hour detail ever since the break-in
"Look, Oman, everything was under control, wasn’t it Daniels?" Luca asked, his voice dripping with forced sweetness."It’s my fault," Matteo cut in, sounding genuinely wrecked. "I’ve been redlining her all morning. I crowded her space the second she woke up on my side of the bed. It was five minute
“Happy birthday, Daniels,” Fila and Ealia whispered in unison, catching me near the velvet-draped entrance.I felt a sting behind my eyes, a sudden, sharp warmth. “You guys remembered? I’m floored. Seriously.”“Please,” Fila smirked, shoving a metallic pink gift bag into my hand. “Like we’d let the
