LOGINChapter 4
Soraya I don't get it, Soraya. I can feel it. They're our mates….. something does feel off, but the bond really is there. Maya's internal voice was a mix of confusion and terrifying excitement, a dissonance that made my head spin. How could she even consider this a good thing? "Shut up," I snapped at her internally. "I don't fucking care. He’s a jerk. They’re all jerks." But I couldn't ignore the paper he’d teased me with. If the handwriting wasn't mine, and it wasn't a student’s, whose was it? I spent the rest of the evening in a daze, waiting for the clock to hit midnight. The triplets had claimed me as their fucking property, which meant the guards didn't look twice when I moved around the halls, probably assuming I was on some late-night errand for the "princes." The Headmaster’s office was located in the highest tower of the castle. It was a long, exhausting climb, and my heart was thudding against my ribs like a trapped bird. I used a thin piece of wire I’d swiped from the training grounds to jiggle the lock. It was a trick my brother had taught me back when we used to sneak into the pack’s archives for fun. The door clicked open with a soft thud. The office gave off the occupied-by-the-rich vibe. I didn't turn on the lights. Instead, I used the small flashlight I’d managed to hide in my boot. I bypassed the main desk and went straight for the "Restricted" filing cabinet in the corner. If there was a conspiracy, the Headmaster was definitely in on it. I flipped through files on "Rogue Sightings" and "Tuition Delinquencies" until I found a folder with a familiar crest. The Thorne family crest. My crest. My fingers shook as I opened it. Inside were transcripts of bank transfers and encrypted messages. My eyes scanned the lines, and the air left my lungs. "Transaction complete," one message read. "The girl will be the scapegoat. The Luna’s removal ensures the Beta’s promotion to acting Alpha during the recovery period." The signature at the bottom a digital thumbprint. My father’s. My world didn't just crack; it shattered into a million jagged pieces. He hadn't just stood by while they stripped my rank. He had planned it. He’d poisoned the Luna and used his own daughter as the sacrificial lamb just to get a taste of power. I felt a sob rise in my throat. My vision suddenly got blurry as I tried fighting back the tears. "Found what you were looking for?" The lights overhead flickered on, blinding me. I squinted, dropping the file as three shadows stretched across the floor. Lucius, Silas, and Jax were standing by the door. Lucius had his arms crossed, looking bored. Jax was leaning against the doorframe with that same annoying smirk. But Silas... Silas was watching me with an intensity that made me feel like he could see the shattered pieces of my heart. "I... I can explain," I stammered, backing away from the cabinet. "Relax, Princess," Jax said, stepping into the room. "We already told you we knew you were innocent. Did you think we were just sitting around doing nothing?" "You knew it was my father?" I whispered, my voice breaking. Silas walked toward me, picking up the fallen file. "We suspected. Your father has been making moves across several packs for months. He’s not working alone, though. This goes deeper than just the Crimson Moon pack." "Then why didn't you tell me?" I yelled, the grief turning into anger. "Why did you let me sit in that basement? Why did you make me wash your boots and kiss me and treat me like a toy?" "Because if you knew, you would have acted," Lucius said, his voice cold. "And if you acted, they would have killed you before we could use you to get to the source." "Use me?" I laughed, a bitter, hollow sound. "Right. Because that’s all I am to you guys." Silas stepped into my personal space, his hand coming up to cup my jaw. "You're more than that. We told you, Soraya. You belong to us. And we protect what’s ours." I wanted to spit in his face, but before I could open my mouth, a deafening wail tore through the air. The Academy alarms. We all froze. The sirens were followed by a series of muffled explosions that shook the very floor beneath our feet. I ran to the window, looking down at the courtyard. The Omega dorms were engulfed in flames. Thick, black smoke was billowing into the moonlight, and I could hear the distant screams of students waking up in a panic. "Oh no," I breathed, my face going pale. "Mina." Mina was the only other Omega who had been kind to me. She was a small, shy girl who had shared her bread with me when I was too tired to eat. She lived on the top floor. "Soraya, stay here," Lucius commanded, his Alpha aura flaring to life. "The guards will handle it." "The guards don't care about Omegas!" I screamed, shoving past him. I didn't care about the files. I didn't care about the triplets or the fact that I'd just found out my own father bloody betrayed me. I just ran. I bolted down the stairs, my lungs burning, as the heat from the fire began to reach the main castle. As I burst out of the tower and into the courtyard, I saw the roof of the Omega dorm begin to cave in. "Mina!" I shrieked, sprinting toward the wall of fire. Behind me, I heard the heavy footsteps of the triplets, but I didn't look back. All I could think about was the girl trapped in the smoke, and the terrifying realization that this fire wasn't an accident. It was a fucking cleanup.Chapter 67Soraya’s POV“Sit down you motherfucker,” Jax spat tugging at his chains.“Please… I wanted to speak up but the room kept spinning and my voice was barely audible.Silas didn’t need Jax’s tough love now, he was feeling left out and believed this was his best chance to stop being in his brother's shadow.“I’ll join you Matthew they don’t respect me here,” Silas said ignoring Jax and putting his hand out.“Is this about keeping the secret from you?” Lucius questioned quietly, making Jax scoff.“Get your head out of your ass Silas, does this man look like someone willing to share his throne, you’ll regret trusting him,” Jax yelled.“Sit down, you motherfucker,” Jax spat, tugging violently at his chains. The heavy titanium links rattled against the concrete floor, but they didn’t give an inch.“Please…” I tried to speak up, but the room kept spinning. My voice was barely audible, trapped under the thick, suffocating weight of the blue fluid throbbing through my veins.Silas did
Chapter 66Soraya’s POVIt felt like I had taken a hammer to my head. The blinding white light of the laboratory had faded into a dim, sickening red. Every breath I took felt like inhaling liquid fire. The blue fluid they had pumped into my arm was throbbing through my veins, making my skin feel raw and boiling hot. I tried to lift my head, but my muscles were completely unresponsive. It pushed me from the inside out forcing me to want to give up and accept the darkness that I suspiciously believed to be death,Then I saw them. The triplets had been captured. For a brief second my heart skipped a beat and I let myself hold on for a second longer. The second my eyelids fluttered, Jax’s head snapped up. His golden eyes were bloodshot, completely wild with panic."Soraya," he choked out. He thrashed against the chains, the metal clinking loudly against the floor. "Soraya... God, look at me. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."I tried to speak, to tell him it was okay, but all that came out of my t
Chapter 65Jax’s POV"You son of a bitch," I growled, stepping past Silas. My hands clenched around the hilts of my daggers until my knuckles went white. "We trusted you. I took you into our home."Kendrick didn’t even flinch. He just casually flipped the radio transmitter in his hand, his expression completely blank. "And that was your first mistake, Jax. You triplets always think loyalty is guaranteed just because you wear a crown. Matthew pays better. It’s that simple.""Where is she?" Silas demanded, his voice shaking with a mix of rage and pure shock. He tried to push past me, but I threw my arm out, catching him in the chest. Silas was still bleeding from the realization that his secret meetings with Matthew had been a setup, and he was too emotional right now. He’d get himself killed."She’s exactly where she needs to be," Kendrick said. He raised the transmitter to his lips, his eyes locked on mine. "Sir, the triplets bypassed the hallway squad. They’re at the Sub-Level 4 bulk
Chapter 64Jax’s POV‘HELP’I bolted upright in bed, my lungs screaming for air as if I had just been submerged in freezing water. I clutched my shirt over my heart, my palms slick with cold sweat. I couldn’t have imagined her voice or did I?"Soraya," I choked out, the name tearing from my throat as my pupils dilated, my vision instantly shifting into the sharp, golden tint of my Alpha sight. Before I could even throw the heavy velvet covers off my legs, the adjoining door to the suite’s common area slammed open. Lucius stood in the doorway, his chest heaving, his face completely pale. His silver-flecked eyes were glowing fiercely in the dark. He didn't need to say a word. He had felt it too. The psychic shockwave had hit him with the exact same brutal force.Across the room, Silas was still buried deep beneath his blankets, snoring softly. The contrast made my blood run cold.I vaulted out of bed, lunging across the rug, and grabbed Silas by the shoulder of his shirt, shaking him vi
Chapter 63Soraya’s POV“You must not know what he’s creating,” I drawled, dragging my hand from the guard as I stepped towards them. “That weapon is created to act just like the blackwood curse, you’re helping him ruin your family legacy!”Despite my daunting words Matthew laughed at looking at my dad who broke a smile and snickered right in my face.“Do you think I care about the stupid blackwood legacy?” Matthew scoffed, looking a bit insulted. “I’m not even considered a Blackwood.”Well that made sense since the seer who was an old family friend didn’t know who the hell he was.“Can you blame them? I wouldn’t want to associate myself with someone like you and I have the worst family ever,” That managed to strike a nerve his eyes darkened breaking his false facade breaking revealing the monster behind the scar.“I will enjoy every moment torturing you,”“Who are you?” I demanded, trying to keep my voice from shaking as I stepped further into the sterile, fluorescent-lit laboratory
Chapter 62Soraya’s POVMy heart shot straight into my throat. John had just thrown himself over the balcony railing into the dark, foggy courtyard below, leaving me standing in the pitch black with his final, terrifying warning echoing in my mind. Don't trust the triplets. The cylinder in my hands felt like a block of solid dry ice, the faint blue light pulsing rhythmically against my skin, sending a low, static hum vibrating all the way up my arms. I had less than five seconds before the doors swung open. I couldn't let Jax see this. I couldn't let Lucius analyze it. And after the secret "deal" I had overheard Silas discussing with Matthew downstairs, I couldn't trust a single word that came out of his mouth.Panicking, I dropped to my knees and shoved the freezing mechanical cylinder deep beneath the heavy velvet mattress, pushing it as far back into the frame as my arm could reach. I scrambled back to my feet, smoothing down my green dress just as the double doors clicked open.Ja
Chapter 34Soraya’s POV“You have to believe us, she’s lying,” I yelled my voice louder than the alarms.I looked at the maid grabbing her arm, the maid shuddered making me look worse in front of the alpha. “Say the truth right now, the camera…My tongue felt stuck as the realization hit that I tur
Chapter 33Soraya’s POVWe ran down to the hospital like it was an emergency because it was!Our boots pounded as we slammed through the double doors leading into the main ward. The nurses awoke to look at us, and a doctor yelled for us to stop, but we ignored them completely, hoping on getting to
Chapter 28Silas' POV I sat in front of my laptop, trying to make sense of what I was seeing. I have been staring at my laptop for quite some time now, finding what I was seeing unbelievable."There is something you guys should definitely know." I blurted out, my eyes still fixed on the laptop but
Chapter 27Soraya's POV"Good afternoon, Alpha." We all bowed."Hold your greetings and explain to me why someone who was said to be dead is suddenly alive." He snapped."I will explain everything when my parents are seated, Alpha.""Fine then, I'm really interested in what you have to say." The Al
