Raven thought his death was near when he saw dozens of red eyes behind the trees in the Forbidden Forest. Raven had just learned that one of the Shadow Wolves fighting him was a scout. Raven was completely underestimated as an Omega; even the scout Shadow Wolves thought he was weak and could be easily killed.

Now, Raven could no longer run. If he did, he wouldn't stand a chance against such a large army of Shadow Wolves. Raven was also still wounded from his previous fight with the Shadow Wolves. It could be said that this was his first fight in his life, as he had no sparring partner and was constantly insulted.

His first life-threatening fight was surrounded by too many powerful monsters. They were all ready to pounce from the shadows. The Shadow Wolves began to emerge from the dark trees, ready to devour Raven, a Cursed Omega with no powers.

The monsters were large, and their fighting style was sharp. Raven counted their numbers. Ten, then another, and around thirty were visible. Unconsciously, Raven's eyesight had also increased, as he could see quite clearly in the darkness of the night. Raven stopped counting.

An Alpha facing dozens of Shadow Wolves probably wouldn't last long and would die quickly. Meanwhile, Raven was an Omega who had never even transformed into a wolf.

[Activation Progress: 50%]

Ding.

The mechanical voice sounded again. What good was a 50% activation progress? Would something like that save him this time? Damn! Raven cursed herself at the strange writing system that constantly followed his face.

However… At the same moment, something changed. The whole world suddenly felt different. Raven felt a warm energy flowing through his veins. His vision sharpened. His hearing improved. He could hear the heartbeats of the monsters. He could even smell their blood.

"What's happening to me?" Because Raven's Sense was working so fast, he felt like a king standing before a vast army. Raven looked down at his own hand, the veins in his chest clearly visible, almost transparent.

Raven was still in awe. Everything was happening so strangely. However… the enemy didn't let Raven think any further.

A Shadow Wolf charged.

WHOOSH!

Raven reflexively moved to the side. His movements were much faster and more precise. The monster's claws grazed nothing but air. Even Raven was surprised at how deftly he could move.

"I dodged it?"

Normally, he couldn't even see such attacks. But now, everything felt clear. The monster's movements were incredibly slow. Raven's memory felt like it was experiencing déjà vu, awakening something long dormant within him, thousands of battles and combat experience. What was this?

A second monster attacked. Whoosh!

Then a third. Raven jumped back. Cold sweat soaked his back. Even though he was stronger than before, he knew the truth. He still couldn't win. There were too many of them.

[55%...]

[60%...] The mechanical machine on the portable screen continued to advance. But what good was Raven doing on the verge of death?

Another attack came, and Raven sensed something strange. His reflexes were right! He dodged the attack perfectly. In fact, Raven twisted his body and struck one of the Shadow Wolves.

BRUSH!

One of the monsters' bodies hit the ground, the blow sending it flying!

Amazing!

Raven was proud of his strength. Raven stared at the Shadow Wolves surrounding him. They looked shocked because one of their comrades had been taken down by Raven's single punch. Raven had never felt so happy before. He had defeated a monster!

"Come forward, all of you! I'll kill you all!" Raven looked excited and clenched his right fist. He was ready to fight.

The Shadow Wolves suddenly took a step or two back. Were they afraid? Raven grew even more excited. Are they afraid of my power? Raven thought.

But… that wasn't what made the monsters retreat. Raven sensed something strange. He frowned, something… what was this! What was this feeling!

The Shadow Wolves suddenly lowered their heads. What was happening? They were still and motionless.

The monsters were waiting for something, aware of the king's presence.

The ground trembled with the heavy footsteps approaching them.

DUUMM!

DUUMM!

DUUMM!

Each heavy step felt like a giant hammer striking the earth. The trees shook. Night birds flew away in fear. Raven slowly turned his head. He sensed the presence of a powerful creature. And his face immediately paled.

From within the forest emerged a giant monster. It pushed trees, causing their trunks to shift. It was nearly four meters tall. Its body was covered in scars, and it stood, its eyes bloodshot. Its teeth were bared, and its left eye was blind. However, the aura it radiated was far more terrifying than any Shadow Wolf before it.

A Shadow Wolf King had arrived. A legendary monster rarely seen even by pack hunters. The monster stared at Raven.

Their gazes met.

Damn it! Why did all these ferocious monsters suddenly come to this forest?

For a moment... The world seemed to stop. Then the same old voice from the night before rang out again.

"He's coming."

The voice appeared directly inside Raven's head.

"He smells your blood."

Raven clenched his fists.

"Who are you?!" Raven wondered who this old voice that had been whispering to him was.

There was no answer.

Only silence. Then the Shadow Wolf King opened his mouth.

GRRRAAAAAAAUUUUUUUU!!!

A thunderous sound rippled through the forest. Blood poured from Raven's ears. He nearly lost his balance. The monster was too strong. Too terrifying.

The Shadow Wolf King stepped toward Raven, and Raven became alert.

One step.

Two steps.

Three steps.

Each step brought death closer.

Raven gritted his teeth. The mechanical machinery continued to move.

No. He didn't want to die. Not like this. Not after enduring eighteen years of being the object of the entire pack's scorn.

If he had to die... At least he wanted to fight. Raven picked up a sharp stone lying on the ground. It was a pathetic weapon to use against the Shadow Wolf King. But it was all he had at the moment. The Shadow Wolf King looked at him like an ant trying to challenge a mountain. The monster grinned and prepared to crush Raven.

WHOOSH!

The ground exploded around the Shadow Wolf King, and he lunged at his with razor-sharp claws.

Raven ran, not wanting to die.

WHOOSH! Srat!

Raven was quickly chased, and a giant claw nearly hit his back. His clothes were ripped by the monster's energy. The tip of the claw struck Raven. But he kept running, ignoring his wounds.

The monster continued to chase, the king's claw imbued with energy, sending Raven rolling, nearly killing him. However, Raven seemed to gain strength and ran again. Raven nearly lost his life several times.

Raven's body was exhausted. His breath was running out. His vision was blurry.

Then... Raven fell completely, and the Shadow Wolf King caught him, smashing his body to the ground.

BRUSH!

Raven twisted and tried to run, but the Shadow Wolf King's foot pressed down on his chest, pinning him to the ground and preventing him from moving.

Agh!

Raven heard the sound of a rib breaking.

"AAARGHH!" Excruciating pain filled his body. Raven couldn't move, couldn't fight back. It seemed like this was the end of his journey.

The monster opened its mouth. Giant fangs aimed straight for Raven's neck. If those sharp teeth had bitten into Raven's neck, one bite would have killed and destroyed him completely.

Raven was still staring at the transparent screen in front of him, between him and the monster. The sky was visible, and the blood moon was fully visible in the sky. The moonlight illuminated the entire area, and Raven gazed at it. On the verge of death, it looked beautiful.

Was this the end?

Was his life truly over as a useless Omega? Just as the Shadow Wolf King's fangs descended...

The system's voice echoed. Louder than ever. Clearer.

And a moment later...

The silver wolf symbol on his chest exploded in a light that blinded the entire forest.

Meanwhile, all the monsters around them trembled in fear from the energy explosion.

Some had lost their families, some had lost their homes, and the rest had lost hope.Raven stood amid the rubble, looking around. His chest felt tight. Last night, he had failed to save Martha.
