CAMILLA ~•~ My hands brushed the floor and slid to the side of the radio. Sighing with satisfaction, I proceeded to find the volume button and pressed it till I could no longer hear myself breathe. I turned, face up, my legs dancing in the air as I sang along to the song on the radio. "Call me, irresponsible.." CAMILLA ~•~I looked at my laptop one more time. Smiling sadly as I picked it out of the bag. The bag was meant for things I no longer needed, but couldn't find a place in my heart to get rid of. With my palm, I took the dust off the surface of the MacBook and took a deep breath before I opened it.Staring at the keys once again, memories came flooding back into my head.I could recall the reason why I put the laptop away, in it had so much about my life. I spun my wheelchair around, tearing my gaze from the beautiful portrait of my daughter I held in my arms, to his lean elderly face. He stood upright, at the foot of my library door. Though over sixty, he appeared young and sharp in his uniform of black suit pants and a white long-sleeved shirt. CAMILLA ~•~ When Fredrick found me at his doorstep, his six feet frame towered over my five feet one as he frowned. "What are you doing here?" He asked a brow raised as he feigned a scowl at me. I couldn't deny it. His expression was funny so much that I almost laughed, but I knew it would only make things worse between us. Our last meeting had not ended on a very good note. We had fought and argued about McDonald's and KFC, which had the better customer service. He was for KFC and I was for McDonald's. I mean, WHO THE HELL CHOOSES KFC OVER MCDONALD'S? In anger, I said and I quote. "You have always settled for the lesser things. I'm talking about all the girls you've dated, your music taste, and your movie taste too! Everything is sub-par!" IVAN ~•~ "Your new therapist would be arriving this morning sir. I trust that you are very excited." Antonio's voice rang in my ears, as he walked into my room, to open my curtains; as usual. From where I lay, strapped to my bed - thanks to him, he had refused to let me out of his sight since my last...incident - I looked up from my palms to him. CAMILLA ~•~ I fought hard to swallow my saliva. He was the definition of "breathtakingly gorgeous"! You know when you think that you have seen the most beautiful thing on Earth, and you just want to rush to it, hold it and tell it how beautiful it is? That was how I felt when I looked at him. His brunette hair matched his beard, and his lips stayed in the middle of it all; pale red and lush. His streamlined jaw, high-rise cheekbones, and well-groomed eyebrows made him look like something...or someone straight out of a magazine cover. CAMILLA ~•~ I swore on my life, I was going to give him a taste of his own medicine. My brows furrowed as I looked down at him. Even in a wheelchair, he still managed to be so rude. I know that I have gotten my share of rude and stuck up clients, or patients in my life. But for some reason, this one just annoyed me more. He pricked all the hairs on my skin, and I was beyond irritated. I opened my mouth to say something, when Antonio walked in, with a wad of files. I was surprised to see so many papers. When I heard him say "doctors" I was imagining just two, or three. But with the wad of files he dropped on the table in front of me, after offering me a chair, I could tell that I was in for a big surprise. "Please, have a seat miss. CAMILLA ~•~ I took the first cab I could find and made my way back home. Well, not exactly home since I lived with Freddie, but you know what I mean. All through my journey, I found myself looking back more times than I ought to. As though mister Ivan's house would appear from the blues and I would be called in once more. Yes, he was a complete and absolute jerk, but something was deeply wrong with him. His case was not that of induced depression or a lost soul that needed saving. He needed all the help he could get, all the help that he had refused in the past. He must have paid a fortune to get all those doctors to give him their time of day, and again, he was very famous. But, if they were not able to help, who did I think I was? CAMILLA ~•~ The drive back home that afternoon was pleasant, even though I fought hard to keep my thoughts from raging. I stared out of the open window and enjoyed the afternoon scenery of Los Angeles, California. There were so many things I loved about this city, but the my favorite part was the beach! So, I tried to distract myself with thoughts of the warming sand and waves of water washed over the sea shore, but none of that was able to calm my troubled mind. Ivan Holloway needed help, and I had to be the one to help him. Yes, I knew that I did not know the true story behind the disappearance of his wife, but I knew it was more than enough to send anybody, no matter how strong, spiraling towards the edge of a cliff. CAMILLA ~•~ Freddie leered at me like I was crazy. Perhaps I was crazy, maybe there was something wrong with me. Maybe I did need the help of a psychotherapist and psychologist such as myself - no! Better. That night, I managed to close my eyes and retire to sleep after much thinking. I did not know what I would do. Freddie only let me have my way because he knew I would do so anyway, but, how could I change mister Ivan's mind? It was clear that the man did not like me, and his butler gave me cold shoilders except it was overly necessary for him to be polite. No one in that house liked me.
