Linda's tone was blank and it made my heart beat faster but I beat Jude to soeaking before he went ahead to say lies against me. "Your fucking husband, that's what, this bastard assaulted me, what the fuck?" I snapped in his face and now that I had control of my hands, I hit him hard across the face. "Jane!" Linda gasped, "are you out of your mind? Get out of my house right this instant." "Excuse me?" I couldn't believe my ears. I had no idea what type of aura Frank possessed but the men all ran off as soon as they saw him. Frank pulled me to my feet and brushed his hands through my hair, "are you okay?" I shook my head negatively and he pressed my head against his shoulder, "I'm sorry these men treat you like this." He heaved a sigh. There was no amount of words that could accurately describe the peace I felt just by being in Frank's arms, everything about him felt heavenly, like all my worries and burdens were gone.
