Breonna could not speak or move. She was stunned and trying to find the words. Enza giggled at her sister's reaction. It was the second day in the human world. The Alpha had not planned on being here this long. He had hoped to be here only a few hours. Paul watched the boy intently to see if the boy was believing anything he was saying. After a few moments, the boy seemed to start to relax. It seemed as if it was easier for him to believe what Paul was saying than what his own eyes had seen. "Are you ok now?" Paul asked. The boy nodded his head, "I must look like a fool, huh?" The boy asked red faced. "No harm done. I won't ever mention it." Paul assured him with a false smile. "Take care and stop smoking that shit." Paul told the boy, The boy turned a bright red once more. He nodded insuring Paul that he would stop and get some help. Paul quickly loaded the truck. He was disappointed in himself that he had been so careless. He nodded a goodbye to the boy that breathed a sigh of relief. During the voyage back, the Alpha had been on edge the entire time. It felt as though he was being watched. His wolf was on high alert the entire time. It seemed the further that he went, the feeling of foreboding followed him. A few times he had actually stopped and searched the area. As soon as he continued on his journey, his wolf would become agitated all over again. His wolf never alerted him unless there was a reason, but this time he could not find the reason why he was unnerved. This caused him to feel uneasy.Sensing he needed to be more careful, he took the long way around to his property. If he was being followed, it would be harder for someone to stay hidden if he arrived through the east side. Cautiously, he circled around the property. The Alpha sipped on his fifth cup of coffee for the day. The lack of sleep was starting to wear on him. If that wasn't enough to cause his bad mood, Enza's scent seemed to be everywhere. Trying to avoid inappropriate thoughts that was creeping in, he tried to focus on his pack. The fact that so many of the pack was arriving late was trying his patience. They knew what time that they had to be there, but there was always a few that strolled in whenever they felt like it. They had no sense of urgency whatsoever.
