Lisa’s POVThe ferry suddenly slammed into something beneath the water that made the entire boat jerked violently.People screamed in shock as crates tipped over and water splashed against the sides. I nearly lost my balance and grabbed Derek’s arm quickly.My heart jumped into my throat. “What was that?” someone shouted.For a moment, panic spread across the ferry. Then the captain quickly raised both hands. “Calm down!” he yelled. “It’s just the checkpoint! I was carried away by the old woman's story to notice it.”Slowly, the fear settled.
