(ALICE'S POV). The alarm blared beside me and I woke up energized, like nothing happened yesterday. I stretched, brushed, took a shower and breezed down to fix myself breakfast….hoping I do not run into ‘my husband’. “Morning.” His voice vibrated behind me. Husky. Sexy. I turned maintaining composure, “ Good Morning Alex.” I smiled lightly, noticing his dark circles. I guess someone didn’t sleep well last night. “I see you are…. almost ready.” He continued walking down the stairs and so did I. “Yes.” He walked pass me towards the fridge, grabbing a jar of milk and some fruits. “ Cereals?” I nodded. I sat opposite him, taking my cereals quicky. I was so excited, for my new job of course. “ Slowly wife.” I choked, not looking up. I could feel his amusement from across the table. “ I see you don’t want to talk to me.” I faced him, “ we have nothing to talk about.” I shrugged. “ We didn’t even consummate our marriage.” I gave him a its-not-funny face that got him rolling.

FIRST TRIAL.

(ALICE'S POV).I sat opposite Alex, staring a hole at the food in front of me.“ How was your first day?” he asked, jolting me back.“ I mean it was… cool… except I was introduced to the team during lunch break.” He gave a short laugh.“ Why was that?”“ Apparently, they were so very busy when I came in the morning. (ALICE'S POV).Next morning was awkward, tension clouding the whole penthouse.
