I kept standing by the window with my phone still held to my ear even if the screen was already dark.Rain fell even stronger outside, hiding the town behind a veil of fuzzy water. Oddly, listening to Vivienne's voice made the load on my chest seem a bit less heavy.She can still giggle. She can still make fun of Dominic making her eat an apple.Biggest thing, there was still cheer in her sound. That just was enough to soothe some of my uneasy heart.I easily put down my phone. The word wish stayed in my head.It has been a long time since I heard Vivienne talk about the future. Ever since she got told she had a brain tumor, she talked like each day could be her last.Today felt odd. She was still unsure but she didn't turn down the thought of going to Singapore for help.If that care could save her, I would aid in any way I can. The idea came to me with no pause.
