Cade had a stupid smirk on his lips. “Crystal.” When I stopped out into the light, his eyes went to me. “Brett.” Piercy didn’t move as I walked towards them. Piercy kept his hand on my waist. He didn’t let me go as Gavin walked out and shut the door. “What’s up?” I asked. Since my laptop lives in the office, it wasn’t hard to set it on the desk and pull up what Brittany had pulled up. I spent the next two hours calling vendors and ordering supplies. There was a bridal boutique that Brittany had starred and that is now scheduled to come next week to try on dresses. Since I wasn’t sure when we would be back, that seemed like the best option. There was this tulle maxi dress that really caught my eye. It was a lace corset top with a natural waist. The lace mini skirt was partially hidden by a layered tulle skirt. The haunted girl looking back at me didn’t recognize the girl from the pictures Tatum sent. The red line down my face was just about healed. Her hands didn’t even shake as she took the picture from me. I felt something shift in her. She was still angry, but it was focused. She was starting to see past her pain again.
