Mireya's POV I was easy to let go. I have long accepted that. All my life I needed to prove that I am useful so I wouldn’t end up being thrown. When I married Caius I imprinted inside my head that I have to be someone useful to him. I need to fill the void Blaire had left and now that she’s back I am no longer needed. But I couldn’t let go. Mireya’s POV Murmurs filled the room. I saw how their gazes lingered in my direction. None of them looks pleased with my announcement but I acted like it didn't hurt. I don't care about their opinions. All I care about is Caius' decision but he seems to be deeply torn. Was it really hard to choose our child and me over Blaire who didn't even think twice about abandoning him? “Do you really think Caius will buy your lies, Mireya? Mireya's POV No one will come to rescue me. Caius won't waste his time to find me and if he did….my body had already turned cold. And my Mom? She didn't even flinch while I was being taken. She will always take Blaire's side to please Alpha Edward. She would never trade the life that she has just to save me. I have no one but this mysterious man. I don't want to die like this. Mireya's POVThe beating of my heart turned erratic. I can feel cold sweat coming out of my palm. Fear traveled to my chest but I still forced a smile, standing firmly with my excuse. He glanced over my shoulder before bringing his gaze back to me. “Let’s go. Is he asking for my help to escape? Does he need to tell me something? Mireya’s POVWe were freed. King Victor didn’t tell us how we were spared from death but I have a feeling it was because of the alliance. Nightfall Pack was one of the strongest packs of the Kingdom. They were guarding the North and losing them will threaten the Kingdom’s security. Nightfall Pack on the other hand widened their control and probably by now Alpha Edward was declared as the High Beta, the head of military. He was just looking at me like he was anticipating more details. I took a deep breath and fixed my skirt even though it wasn't wrinkled.
