Lucas's POV.Since I arrived in my office. My mind has been on Laura but I just quickly had to come to the office to settle some jobs I hadn't done yet.I have been working so much and when I finally decided to rest. I realized that I had even done the jobs that were meant for yesterday. So it meant that there was no foul waiting for me and there were no emails that demanded my attention. Neither did I have any meetings or any contracts to sign on.I picked up the last document on my desk anyway. It was an old habit of mine to cross check everything I do. I scanned it one more time before dropping it into the other pile of files.I heard enough on my office door. Then I looked up as I granted permission to the person knocking on the door. “Come in.” I said as my new assistant pushed the door open with a tablet placed under his arm.Laura still wanted to work with me as my secretary. But I told her she should just rest until she has given birth and then she can join me in the office.
