Hyacinth's POV I silently prayed for some sort of supernatural intervention. I was very uncomfortable, and I could see death coming for me. Kael's POV The ground shook every time my feet connected with the soil. Time and space hung for me to exert my rage. The world stood still for me to make them feel all the pain that Hyacinth felt. I had never used my powers to its full potential, but it was a little undermined compared to what I felt. I dug into one of the Veilwalker's chests, and time continued. Hyacinth's POV Kael spooned me to sleep. When we got to the palace, he bathed me, cleaned me up and settled me in bed. He forced me to eat a little without saying anything really. His eyes were glowing like he was still mad about what happened. Of course, he's still mad. I felt safe in his arms, letting him pull me as close as he wanted to. I tried not to imagine what would have happened if he hadn't shown up when he did. I'd probably be dead, and a war would have most likely broken out. When I woke up, Kael was still in bed with me.
