Kiran, Levi and Alex whispered to each other for a few seconds and I looked at the back of the wall above Kiran’s head. I could feel Kai’s eyes on me. I was feeling restless again and I was standing on the porch scanning the forest. The pack was sitting on the porch drinking coffee and Slade and Leon were wrestling on the grass in front of us. Back at school, we heard the rumors that I had killed Rick. Another rumor was that they had transferred to another high school and yet another was that he had left the country in fear of me. I slowed down as we neared the turn off and I took the road that ran parallel to the river. I steered the bike off the road and headed towards the river.
