Chapter 1

Aurelia’s PovMy head buzzed from hours of scrubbing, I dragged my bare feet across the cold tiles, my shoulders hunched of their own accord as I made my way to the only place in the cold mansion I could call mine. “Ahh” The sound froze me in my tracks, what was that? My heart pounded harder than usual.
