Every few minutes, she would sneak a glance at Ace, who was lounging by the doorway, phone in hand, completely relaxed. But Amy kept fidgeting. As the nail technician worked on my toes, I leaned closer to her. “Did you see someone, sweetheart? Someone who looked like Ace?” Amy bit her lip. Then she nodded. “Where?” She pointed again toward the restaurant wing of the mall. Ace looked up at us. “Something wrong?” I hesitated before answering. “Amy says she saw someone who looked like you.” He blinked. “Like me? Like… me-me?” “Yeah,” I said softly. “She is a little rattled.”

They push Ava to me and I did a wrong thing that I was going to regret forever. I cheated on her! but it was a accident. A stupid accident. I was totally drunk and when I saw Ava, I saw her, I saw Bettina. And that's where I made a mistake. I woke up lying on the bed with Ava completely naked. I don't want to let her go, but this is the first time I've been in the same room with her and not done something stupid so I decide I should try not to make it awkward. "How about some lemon loaf?" I ask and Harper lets out a real laugh. "Yes, please. I love how you remember my order." She says and I grin at her, rounding the counter and grabbing an extra large piece. "I only remember yours." I say, placing it on the counter before starting her drink. "Really?" She asks, surprise evident in her tone. I feel my face flame in a blush and turn away from her to grab a carton of milk. "Yeah." I admit. I hadn't really meant to say that and embarrassment flames through me.

The next day, Amy made her way toward me after school. Then, she forcefully rammed into me. I hadn't even said anything when she shouted arrogantly at me, "Look where you're going, Julia! You bumped into me!" I frowned a little. Then, I simply stepped aside to avoid her. "Stop right there! Are you going to just walk away after bumping into someone? I want you to kneel and apologize to me!" Amy shouted as she suddenly pulled me back. Her eyes were filled with malice.

I grabbed my car keys with trembling hands. On my way out, I accidentally knocked a picture frame from the table. It crashed to the ground, the glass splitting right across a photo of Damien and me at one of our first dates. My breath caught in my throat. An omen? Or just clumsy hands? Either way, my pulse wouldn’t settle. Moments later, I was speeding down the road, anxiety clawing at me. The steering wheel rattled under my grip as I tapped my fingers restlessly against it. My chest ached with each passing second.

Andy is definitely connecting the dots well and I can't let that happen. This is the perfect moment to activate my soft tool. I pinched my cheek a little and as expected, it turned red. Vulnerability wore over me like a coat, I also managed to gather a fake tear in my eyes. “I didn't know you were going to suspect this soon…” I intentionally zoned off. Andy got alarmed, he quietly packed by the road side and apologized for causing me pain. “Actually, something did happen between Kyle and I but I don't want to talk about it yet. I am afraid that it will really affect Kyle,” I sniffed.

I didn't know what to speak at all or should I have spoken or not? "It's acceptable. We need to be more careful. Daniel is right." Gabriel voiced out. After breakfast, everyone left when Amy suddenly hugged me. "I'm so sorry babes. I am sorry. It's all my fault." She said with a heavy voice. "Wait.. Amy. What are you saying?" I asked, breaking our hug. She closed her eyes tightly and when she opened them, tears started flowing down. "I… I shouldn't have left then. If I was there at that moment, nothing would have happened of any sort. It's all my fault. I can't even imagine you in….?
