The bed was beside the door from where she can clearly see a shadow standing beside the door. "Oh, you also think I am bad-..." She couldn't complete her sentence as she was cut off by Adrian. "No, I don't think so. I will never think so." Adrian said coming into the bedroom and showing himself completely. Athaliah looked at him with a smile. Puberty hit him hard and his appearance completely changed in these almost three years. He is not the same thirteen years old Adrian who hated everyone around him. There was a matuarty on his face. And he grew up to be a handsome teen-ager at the age of sixteen, she thought.

Jon yells and then stands up and stomps out of the room. Shaking his head, Jordan just looks up at me with worry in his eyes. It’s… incredible.” I nodded, feeling a warm ache in my chest. “It is. And it’s amazing to watch, but it also makes me realize how much they’re changing… how much we’re all changing.”

The door swung open to reveal a short boy with a big grin. Caleb stepped forward, holding out a small gift bag. “Happy birthday, buddy!” Gideon grinned back. “Can you believe it? I’m thirteen! My teenage years officially start today!” He then turned to Adeline, squinting up at her as if trying to confirm her identity. “You are Adeline, right?” Adeline smiled. “Nope, not me.” Gideon huffed, crossing his arms. “Come on.
