Zoe tried to calm Luka down. “Alpha is right, am sorry Zoe, I just want to know who Jace is?” he asked calmly this time, the calm before the storm because one was brewing inside him waiting to be released. “Jace is the hybrid.” Answered Luka. JP chuckled shaking his head in disbelief. “So, you even had time to get to know the bastard who killed my mate?” Zoe figured calling Jace by his name was not such a good idea after all but at the time she did not think about it.

A few group of men took off running in different directions as I walked up to Jace. “We are on schedule. Here is your ear piece and a few other fun items.” Jace pushed a bottle of chloroform, a rag and few grenades. “Thanks.” Jace did a double take. I was no longer in control. My wolf forced his way in and there was no stopping him. He needed this and as much as I wanted to be the one to do it, he was the man for the job. Nothing will keep him from getting his mate. “Ready?” Alec asked from behind me.

And when he’d inquired, Cedric had moved around the subject until he’d given up. The alpha gestured once, tolerating the statement of regret. “I’m Keegan. Alpha of the McRae pack here.” He gestured to the pale-skinned fair on his right. “This is Jace, my second-in-command.” Jace crossed his arms over his solid chest and gave Marc an presumptuous gaze, his blue eyes limited with doubt. His cocky state of mind reminded Marc of Lucian, and he battled not to growl back at him. He didn’t like this one. Not one bit.

Alec’s shoulders sag, fingers fidgeting as he takes a deep breath. “They- they took him. I’m so sorry… I tried to- but I couldn’t… I’m so sorry.” Alec sniffs. Weston’s heart drops, trying to keep his composure. “Who did they take?” Alec shakes his head, a sob on the tip of his lips. Weston takes a look at the Council. Everyone’s on the edge of their seat, certainly sharing Weston’s concern. “Alec?” Weston prompts. “They took Jace.” Amir gasps audibly. Malakai puts a hand on his shoulders and Amara a hand on his knee. Even Grant uncrosses his arms and looks at Amir sympathetically.
