After standing there just watching them ‘dance’ I wasn’t sure how exactly to let them know I was here, I was about to try to announce myself when Sally suddenly looked up and made direct eye contact with me causing Alison to look behind her to see what Sally saw. “Oh shit, hey Kane, I forgot you followed me in. Sorry…” It wasn’t a real apology and the smile she had stayed never leaving her now flushed face. The look alone made me smile with her. “Kane I see you made it for Alison’s birthday, I made strawberry cake for dessert and was planning on grilling burgers for an early dinner, hope you’re hungry.” 7pm

she asks as she looks at me with narrowed eyes. “Caterina, this is High Priestess Kaede Lynx. She is the leader or head of the Blood Crest Witches. Kaede, this is my mate, Caterina.” Kai introduces us, but as I hold out my hand for her to take, I realise too late that she was blind. “Pleased to meet you,” I say, but then her eyes widen. “Curious!” she exclaims and claps her hands together before she glances up at Kai. Wait, could she see?

Brody stood on the patio stairs outside the back door so everyone could hear him. “Now I know this is usually done during an initiation ceremony” he continued, “but with the current situation I have decided that I’m just going to do this now. So as most of you already know I recently found my mate, her name is Allison” he told everyone. I wet my lips nervously as he motioned for me to join him.

"Sounds awfully intense for a Friday night. Care to make it a foursome?" A wolf-like grin spread across Alessio's face. his charm switch clicked on full blast. "Now that's an offer I wouldn't want to refuse." The fucker loved groupies. His eyes flickered towards me, a knowing gleam in their depths. I shot him a glare, the sudden urge to chuck my drink at his self-satisfied grin almost overwhelming. The redhead tilted her head, her scarlet curls cascading down her bare shoulder. "My name's Cory, what's your name, hun?"

"But I assure you, I am nothing but a loyal and hardworking servant. I would never dream of betraying Evan's trust." Kate regarded me skeptically, but after a moment, she seemed to relax. "Very well," she said. "I suppose it's possible that we've just been a bit paranoid lately. But please, Allison, if there's anything you need to tell me, don't hesitate to do so. I want you to feel that you can trust me." I nodded, relieved that the conversation seemed to be over. But as I turned to leave, Kate spoke up once more. "One more thing, Allison," she said, her voice low and serious. "If I ever catch you betraying Evan's trust or working against his interests, I will not hesitate to take action. D

"The bedsheets, the pillows, and the whole decor are unsuitable." My eyes followed hers to stare at the frilly pink pillows which she had thrown on the floor. She actually shuddered in revulsion. I grinned inwardly. In all my years, I had never come across anyone quite like Allison. It was no wonder she was my mate. Usually, most females preferred things of this sort so I had given instructions for Allison to be put in this room. My eyes went over her clothes. They were black all through without the hint of any other color to reduce their austerity. I was willing to bet that she did not have a stitch of brightly colored clothing among her belongings. Her next words proved me right.

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

Curtis took a moment to calm down and looked at Allison, "Answer me first. How did you end up here? And in what capacity are you here?" "I am one of Prince Ryan's bodyguards and also his assistant.
