Amelia's heart gave a traitorous twist. She crouched down instinctively, slow, not smiling, just trying not to spook whatever this was between them. "Hi there. You must be the boss around here." The haunted cherub just stared at her. But gaze flicked downward to her boots. Cracked leather. Purple laces. Salt stains. The kind of shoes you wore when you'd run out of better options. Amelia yelled. It has been twenty minutes already and Rey still hadn't shown up. Did it really take that long for a man to get dressed? I said clinging onto her hand. Skye's smile widens and wrapped her arms around my waist. "Damn my friend she's definitely a keeper." A tall woman in a green outfit, with a British accent, said. Amelia stuck her head around the door and, seeing me at my desk, smiled as she came into the room. I almost said something as I saw how she was dressed. She’d done her makeup dark, with almost a goth princess look despite her delicate features and blonde hair. Her lipstick was a dark blue to match her eyeshadow, and she was wearing a navy bra underneath a black fishnet top that I knew intimately tucked down into a crotch to keep it tight to her body. She was wearing a tight, black leather skirt that ended above her knees, and a chrome and black belt at her waist. Black platform boots with some chrome buckles finished the look.

She walked over and suddenly leaned against her aunt’s legs.
