His jet-black armor absorbed the moonlight, and his golden eyes gleamed with predatory intent. “Kaiden Nightwalker,” Ramon growled. “The Rogue Alpha.” Jasmine’s knees nearly buckled under the weight of their combined auras, but she refused to back down. Then I saw them. A dozen black-cloaked warriors emerged from the trees, moving in unison, each one carrying the same insignia on their shoulder. The ringing sound of the doorbell follows. “Coming!” I get up and head to the door to find out who it is and what the person wants. I can't think of anyone who will be at the door this late at night. “How can I help you?” I question, scanning the unfamiliar figure I meet behind the door. His All-black clothing makes me instantly suspicious of him. “Are you Valery Hale?” The stranger asks back with his hands behind his back. How does he know my name? “Yes. How can I help you?” I ask again, still trying to decode his intentions.

Xanti glared at him before grinning. "I think you're right," he said, more Zera was even more surprised when she looked at Gavin who caught the young man looking at her but when he noticed that Zera caught him he just shrugged and turned his attention back to his arrow. "What happened to him?" They went back to training. Xanti seemed to be their mentor and they were all serious until the evening they rested in the garden.
