She felt a little shameful for thinking of killing the man who saved her life in his sleep.

Silas Thorne had used his own wife’s death to finish the job of turning his son into a monster. Dark didn't just hate her father because of the accident. He hated him because her father had inadvertently finished his father’s work. A shadow moved in the hallway. Iza scrambled to pull the drive from the port and tuck it back into her robe.
