Suzan said as she rubbed Bonnie's hand. Bonnie breathed out heavily, nodding. Suzan pulled her into a hug and she hesitantly hugged back. "Well, I better go. Blake is going down to church and I have to go pack him his lunch box." Bonnie nodded as they pulled away. She laid back on the bed after Suzan had walked out. Sigh

I wouldn't back down now. Taking another deep breath, I forced my feet to carry me forward. I stepped onto the perfectly manicured lawn, moving swiftly to the side of the house. There was no gate to keep people out, but a sign in the yard read, "Protected by Bullet Plus Security." The "Plus" was overkill. This was Texasbullets protected everything.

I replied as I exited her office. I finally decided to take the next step and apply for a business loan for my construction company. Truthfully, I should have handled this a while ago. I had a business plan and everything that was needed. Deep down, I think I was nervous about being rejected. It seemed that after my marriage from Skylar failed, my confidence level had diminished a little. Since being with Devyn, though, my confidence had returned. So now instead of just working on establishing my company, I was one step closer to actually having it.

This plan sucked. POV Ruby This plan sucked but no one could come up with a better one and we were running out of time. As I walked towards my house, a sense of dread filled me. What if he had already killed them? What if I was walking towards my own death? I shook my head to clear it. I couldn't afford to think like this. As I arrived at my home, I stayed in the shadows and peeked through the windows.

Riley looked at Eli with concern in her eyes. "Everything will be alright. There's no need to worry." "Come in!" Eli opened the door and led Riley through. Once inside, she noticed Zachary was also there with Penelope and Luna Marigold. "Thank you for making this meeting. Please have a seat. I'm sorry I didn't answer right away. There's been a breach to the north, and I had to make sure I got everyone where they needed to be." "I fully understand. Is there anything I could be doing to help?"
