The man, Alpha Narcisse said to Elijah without so much as turning in his direction. Elijah bowed deeply before roughly pulling Charlotte to her feet and walking away. I tried to rise to my feet because my Elijah was leaving but a wave of dizziness ruined the plan as I fell backwards. I never made an impact as I was caught by a strong arm around my waist. The other arm cradled my face. “This won't do." The man I have come to label as Alpha Narcisse, the strongest Alpha in this region, said before I closed my eyes and welcomed darkness.

He stood up and made his way downstairs, meeting Magnus on the way. “I will find my own men!” He growled at Magnus, who nodded. “It’s clear that if I want something done, I will have to do it my damn self!” Caesar walked outside and caught sight of the female before he shifted and made his way into the forest. Closing his eyes, he sniffed the air and he caught the scent of something. Where there was a wolf pack, there were rogues. He was sure of it. Looking at Magnus, he nodded before he sprinted into the forest.

Ziva shuddered. I almost snorted. “Not helping.” It was a weak joke, but I always did have a tendency to use humor to cope. Unsurprisingly, Caius didn’t laugh. He ran his fingers over his father’s handwriting. A little wrinkle appeared between his brows. The same one he got when he was deep within his thoughts. “If we were siblings the Goddess wouldn’t have made us mates.” I shrugged, fighting the sudden chill as the temperature dropped. “Maybe the Goddess has a sick sense of humor.”

Our eyes held onto one another as if we were drawn to each other deeply. For a moment there, time stopped, looking into the eyes of Caesar was like emerging into a new world; I was lost in his eyes and could not find my way out of them. They made me breathless, speechless and got me questioning every single thought I had in my head. I looked into those eyes and those eyes looked like they have gone to the depths of the universe, those eyes revealed countless emotions; they were fearless and resembled the eyes of a warrior.

It was certain I was facing extremely formidable people. I moved closer to Giselle, “I don't know if you know this, but I am not Zoldrick, or whoever you used to measure their strength. I am Caeser, son of Varyn and the heir to the throne. Say your goodbyes to your teachers when you still can. These might be the last beautiful moments you'll share together.” I said menacingly. Giselle laughed softly, “Now things are starting to get interesting. Well, I did try to warn you.. ”

Ceasar is another young cadet in their uniform but with black curly hair exposed out from his army cap. Ceasar bends his back, so he could be at my eye level. I notice his eyes are intense black; I question if any lights could escape from his eyes. He smiles at me, using his upturned eyes locking my gaze. “I haven’t introduced myself officially. I’m Caesar. It is a great pleasure to meet you, Miss Joanne.” He even tries to do a Baisemain. Who would experience a Baisemain by an unfamiliar guy in a normal life? I immediately evades, pretending I didn’t know what he was planning to do.

He bounded back to the Scriptorium and moments later returned with Paulinus, whom he dragged furiously by the sleeve, despite the protestations of the thin minister. What is it, Josephus?" Paulinus cried, "Why will you not say what is the matter?" LOok!" Josephus answered. "Tell me what you see" men towered over him and studied his etchings. Octavus continued to work his stick on the snow. The two t cannot be!" Paulinus hissed. «But surely it is," Josephus countered. There were letters in the snow, unmistakable letters.

In my head, I was trying to rationalize it, but could only think of one possibility. While I pondered the logistics of the possibility in my head, I returned to the body, to take a look at one more interesting thing of note, coming from Joseph. "...'Batsu?'" I heard him question, his eyes fixated on the small pieces of paper attached to Ceáser's face. "Do you perhaps mean the Japanese pronunciation of '罰' perhaps, Mr. Joseph?" Liam asked, slithering his way back next to me and Joseph. "Oh… Uh...Maybe?" Joseph responded, a bit taken aback by his sudden interest. "What's it mean?"

The next 45 minutes went on like that, with us narrowly avoiding death all whilst Julius barked instructions through the mind-link. “Seems you live to fight another day, little wolf.” Thanatos laughed at the end of the session. Despite the grim reaper vibe, he seemed to have a better sense of humour than Julius, which admittedly wasn’t difficult. “It’s Celeste.” Celeste replied, almost flirtatiously, which seemed to have an effect on Thanatos as he let out a low whine. “Down, boy.” She laughed as his tongue rolled out of his mouth. In an instant Julius was standing in Thanatos’ place, with that… thing staring at me. I forced Celeste to look down.

And he was going to bring her home. He called his betas and gathered the elite wolves of his army. Jacob and Edward, Serena’s brothers, had become his fiercest allies since the disappearance. They didn’t speak much about their father. But Alexandro could see the same doubt reflected in their eyes. They knew something wasn’t right. And they stood by Alexandro without question. Alexandro pointed to the ancient map spread out before them. “Here,” he said, tapping the east coast with a gloved finger. “Past the mist-covered shores. Beyond the fog line.”
