I know he’s joking, which is the only reason I let his comment slide. “Have you spoken with mom or dad?” Chris’ entire mood changes, and he white knuckles the steering wheel, “They’ve called. I’m not picking up. Whatever they have to say, they can say in person. If I’m not worth the trouble, fuck them.”

“To think I was even soliciting for him so you’ll go on at least one date, but he’s disturbing you now, and I don’t want nobody bothering my bestie. Want me to answer next time? I can be very clear.” I laughed despite myself. “Tempting. But no, I’ll handle it.” The phone buzzed again—same number. A call this time. I stared at it, my thumb hovering over decline. Mirabel raised a brow. “Answer it. Put him on speaker. Let’s end this.” I hesitated, then hit accept and speaker. Chris’s voice came through warm and too familiar. “Alicia? Hey. Finally picked up.” Mirabel made a gagging motion.

"Chris, come home right now..I need to talk to you about something, it's important" "oh come on Zack, which home do you want me to come to? is it... Chris quickly finished with his work and drove to Zack's apartment..he went indirectly without using the doorbell.

The bitch has no idea the wealth she wields so I'll help her make good use of it.” Davis chuckled. “Don't call me until tomorrow, I’m about to go into business.” Chris told Davis before ending the call and pushing the phone into his pocket. He whistled excitedly as he began to check each restroom for Michelle. By the time he could not find her in the tenth one, he began to call her name.

Kira's POV It had only been ten minutes after I spoke to Chris when I heard my phone ringing. I had just joined the main road and was now moving towards a more busy street. "Hello Chris," I said answering the call through my car's Bluetooth system. "My men have found the girl. She is a pretty one. I am on my way there, but you know you owe me from our last transaction, and offering me this woman would not make up for it," I heard Chris say and I rolled my eyes.

She sassed and Christopher laughed giving her a kiss and hugging her. "Stop it. Lee is still in his office. He'll sit on fire if he saw that. Let's just finish this and go out." She said and Christopher and Alicia both worked hurriedly to finish that. "Yeah." Christopher replied and opened another file to start working on it, but the ringing of his phone stopped his hands. He pulled out the phone to see Cal's name flashing on screen. He frowned because it's very rare that Cal call him. It's mostly James who call him.
