[Candice POV] I’m Candice Vale — 28 years old, one of the most bankable actresses in Hollywood, and the woman whose smile is currently plastered across billboards in twelve countries. My life looks flawless from the outside: red carpet premieres, multi-million dollar contracts, and a handsome, stable fiancé named James who the tabloids call “the perfect gentleman.” But perfection can be suffocating.

So I have to be on time for the meeting. —Okay, go, I love you, take care of yourself. "I love you too, see you," Luciana said before hanging up and immediately leaving for the company. She had arrived a few minutes before the meeting, and when she was in the hallway that went to the meeting room she heard crying, which was He was surprised, he followed the sound and found a small girl, beautiful, with black hair and waves, her eyes were brown and she had a beautiful mole near her nose on the left side of her face that was under her secretary's desk.

My eyes widened in surprise when I noticed the name of the bridal store: Candace Lori's Bridals. Candace Lori was one of the most successful and most renowned businesswomen not just in our town, Arkwood Valley, but in the whole of Alaska and even in some other states. Her works screamed luxury and elegance, and it was rumored that her two teenage children were fathered by two different men. But that last detail wasn't very important to me and many others. Her talent and wide recognition were sufficient enough to make up for some of her flaws. I cleared my throat once. "How are we going to get in without an appointment?"

She pulled the seat in front of the table and sat down opposite Lily. "Do you come here often? I have never seen you here before?" the woman asked. "Do you happen to know every single person who visits this shop?" Lilly asked nonchalantly. The woman removed the scarf revealing a very beautiful face. Long lashes, and dark brown curly hair which was tied up in a bun. She smiled at Lily's response. "I am Brenda. I am well known here. who are you?" Brenda said. Lily stared at her for 20 seconds before responding, "I am Lily, Lily Shawn."

Probably some guy gave her a fake number in the bar. "I know what it is. But who are you?" She again asks me anxiously. "I am secretary of the President of the Damison Group. My name is Ethan Stone." I reply to her irritatingly, as she is wasting my time. I need to go home and take a lavender bath with my rubber ducks.

Candace begged nervously, her voice was trembling. Lulu whimpered as an answer. "I am not." "You are not what, Lulu?" Candace reached for her hair and pushed it to the side impatiently to see her face. Lulu whimpered again as trying to open her eyes. She seemed exhausted and still didn't make a move. Candace caressed her cheek tenderly and repeated her question. "You are not what, baby?" Lulu took a deep breath and sighed. "Lesbian." Candace couldn't get what Lulu meant for a second. She blinked her eyes a few times, then relief spread within her. She let out a genuine laughter and asked. "You are not lesbian?"

His fashion sense has never been the best, but the quality is impeccable. Landon always complains about how he isn't very strong, or attractive as the other males he went to school with. He's a little too skinny, his eyes are sometimes too lifeless, and his hair never stays in one place for very long. Popular or not, I see Landon as an extremely generous, sweet guy who's ego isn't related to the size of his biceps.

Soon I was done fixing her hair and she ordered me to pick out the best glow polish to Polish her red tails. I left and went into her luxury decorated room to pick out a glow red Polish and started polishing her tails to give it a glowing sparkle. Luciana is a spoilt princess who takes everybody as trash and she has no regards to people she feels too full of herself because she gets whatever things she wants at a snap of her hands. I envy her a little because ever since I was born I have been suffering haven't had a taste of motherhood no one to run to I've been depressed so many times and I've learnt to live with it.

By the time we had to leave L'ambrosie, she had asked almost everything about me, my hobbies and well, the reason I wore the ring always which was the only thing I couldn't answer right. I had also occasionally asked about her and she telling me, her favorite color was blue, a social media strategist for different companies which had me gazing clueless for being out of the ordinary. Her favorite person was me which I could doubt but not dared to cause of the way she always gazed at me and lastly saying that she had chronic lymphocyte leukemia.

“I’m glad you’re having fun, sweetie. But don’t let her spoil you too much, okay?” Just then, the screen shifted and Candice’s bubbly face appeared next to Livvy. She also had a face mask sheet on, confirming my earlier suspicion. “Hey, bestie!” She waved at me with a grin. Then, her eyes widened in awe. “Oh, my god! Is that the villa? Show me more!” Laughing again, I angled the phone again to give Candice a better view. “It’s incredible, isn’t it?” “It’s insane!” Candice nodded, then shifted her tone to a slightly serious one. “Anyway, how is it going so far? Are you killing it as the creative director yet?”
