“Then there's something you need to see.” He pulled out his phone and showed Luna the picture message containing the newspaper article. Few seconds later, he watched as Luna's demeanor transitioned from calm to trembling shock. “That’s… my father.” She whispered. Sebastian nodded in agreement. He watched her curiously to see if she would recognize the other man. Luna's brow furrowed as she studied the picture closely. She was positioning the pieces in her mind. “Alexander Mason…..Mason? Could that be Jasper's father?” She asked cautiously.

I might just go back and kill that she-wolf if I lose this child. “Fuck!” Mason swerves to avoid a deer. I grab the dash board and wait for Mason to get control back of the car. He continues to speed towards the pack clinic and skids to a stop as we pull up to Dr. Sully’s office. I am sure Mason has mind linked Dr. Sully as they are waiting for me outside with a wheel chair. Mason carries me out of the car and places me in the chair. “What happened Beta?” “Luna was challenged for her position. I think she just found out she is pregnant. She didn’t shift through the whole challenge.”

“Why don’t we head back to the party, you need something stronger than champagne.” She steered me to the glass doors where we could see a cluster of people. I opened it a crack to ask them to move so we could get in, but their voices drifted out, freezing me to the spot. “…a disgrace. Some grubby little orphan, the spawn of who knows, as our Luna?” “She can’t even shift, what is Mason thinking?” Someone scoffed. “He can’t be, not with the head that matters. Whatever skills she has, I’m sure they’re not in leadership.”

We took another walk back to the Packhouse and I could tell Mason’s legs were tired from all that walking and it seems the High Priestess gave him a gift as he has a red box in his hands. He yawns tiredly, his steps slow. I took side steps and picked him up in a bridal way, walking with ease. Oden warned Mason. Mason stood in front of Lila naked. Lila seemed unphased by his nakedness. The thought did hurt Mason only slightly. It truly had been all a lie. A spell. Mason suddenly became angry. He stalked towards Lila and grabbed her arm. He hauled her back into his house and pushed her to the couch. "You have ten seconds to start explaining," Mason growled at the woman who he had once called his Luna.

Mason nodded and climbed the stairs. “Luna, do you want anything special made for lunch?” she did not care what she wanted she just wanted to talk to her. Claudia was not stupid either. “Go on, I will be right there.” She told Mason, he nodded and went up. “Child, it’s good to meet you, now I have nothing much to say just that I have known Mason since he was a boy. He, Lizzy, and Zoe were close friends. They used to come into my kitchen and ask me for muffins. But this man I see here today is not the Mason I know; you are his mate and I believe you know right from wrong. Get him straight or you will lose him before time.” She then turned and walked away.
