I should have walked normally, she thought to herself. As they finished stretching out, they ran to the door, but before they could open it, someone already did from the outside. From behind it was a person who was covered in black and dirt, and the only part of her that was visible were her hands and eyes. She walked tiredly inside. Abigail and the girls were startled that they could not move, but Edith ran to the strange looking person. Where have you been, Tilly? She then signed. I went away to do a secret mission, Mathilda replied. She then started taking everything off until she was only wearing her habit that was now drenched.

She tore her haze, shifted to the tall glass window behind her. No one dared to respond. The Iolomb made a side glace at Deandra, while Deandra seemed more interested in her shoes. “Well?” Asked Lady Cotts. Her voice sounded gentle and sweet but somehow send shiver to the Iolomb and Deandra. “I will gather an army, Milady.” The Iolomb bowed and left the room hurriedly. From a far, Deandra saw tiny black dot moving between the treetops through the tall glass window. “Milady?” Deandra called. She didn’t have any respond, so she continued. “I may have something to tell you.” Still got no respond. “Lady Irina might come with them. She probably wanted to rescue me—”

I soon doze off, A loud crisp sound woke me up, I groaned and opened my eyes “I'm…. People in fancy clothes, eating, dancing, chatting and drinking, their voices mixed with music. I saw Julian, his cousin and father at a corner, chitchatting and drinking as usual. I got an empty table to seat, wishing that all these things could go away. I fed Luna the wine, it might be bloody but she likes it and I can't deprive her because I don't like it. Suddenly I heard a voice. “may i have a dance, Milady?”

Lucifer gave me aa quick kiss before we finally stepped outside his room. “Milady, I’ve been looking for you around the house! Come here, Milady, we should get dressed up now.” A woman with big round glasses suddenly dragged me inside a room full of built-in drawers and cabinets with ceiling to floor mirrors on each corner. Three more women are inside smiling at me. “Time for a splendid make-over Milady!”

You may ask the guards at her door, one of them came to fetch me upon her demand.” “What did you two talk about before she keeled over?” I asked, my voice sounder flatter than I intended. “About our family,” she sniffled again, gripping the hem of her dress tightly as she shifted on her knees. “Milady misses her sister and her pack. She was looking like a pretty naive angel with red lips, dressed in black who wants to get ruined tonight. He saw her wiping her dress and his eyes fell on her figure. She sensed his gaze on her and felt frightened under his gaze. She felt like meeting him before too.

Her voice brought him out of his stupor and seeing that, the girl continued, “You might be wary of me right now. However, I assure you that I have no ill intentions towards anybody. I just want to give a letter Milady has written to the Lord.” The man raised his eyebrows at her at this newfound information. His curious eyes told her that he was interested in whatever she was speaking about. So, Miranda did not stop. “Since the kind Sir here knows the Lord, you will find out eventually what I am here for. Until then, could you please bear with it and help me?”
