Kai inwardly thanks Oakley's luck for falling sick. He can’t imagine Oakley having to wait for Albrey in the mansion; clearly, Oakley will have been the one to bear the brunt of Albrey's fury. Despite the thought coursing through Kai's mind, none of the emotions manage to slip out from his voice. “Young master Albrey, this is young master Oakley's assistant, Kai. The young master blacked out on set, and he's in the ambulance to the hospital.” Kai conveys the truth sincerely without hiding a bit.

She winked at him before leaving him to go back inside the bar. She didn't had a hard time finding Kai. Raven quickly saw him leaning his back at the countertop while drinking beer. Ignoring Kai's stern gaze, I stood up from my seat and headed over to a nearby table, i wasn’t about to let him control me again. As I sat alone at the pub, I couldn't shake the feeling of Kai's eyes lingering on me, even from across the room. it’s been a while since i left, and he was still staring at me, it was beginning to get me really uncomfortable. I hate the way he always treats me like a five-year-old, i am grown enough to make decisions on my own and go out alone without having him tell me what to do, sending guards to tail me or telling me who and who not to talk to. I couldn’t even order a drink or anything for myself because he wouldn’t let me, yet, there he was, having the time

I heard a dark voice holler as my father halted in his words and turned. I suddenly watched as his eyes widened. Kai's eyes flashed dangerously, a smirk playing on his lips. Alpha Cosimo stood, baffled for a moment before he took a step back, his hands shaking as he clenched and unclenched them. He walked out of the pack in silence, and it wasn’t until we were sure that he was gone that Kai turned to face us. He wrapped his arms around his mother first before turning to look at me.
