~Felix~ "Hey, boss!" Ramirez called as he walked through the door, his hair disheveled, his lips swollen, his tie half way opened and his perfectly crisped white shirt was creased up. It didn't take a genius to figure out where he was coming from. He had been away to Italy to supervise the shipments for the past few days and I'm on sure he crashed at his favorite night bar last night. I scoffed and stilled my gaze at the fucking books on my desk which I wasn't even reading.

He grinned slyly at me before turning on his heel. “Have a good day Mr Cruz.” He waved me off as he left the apartment. I didn’t remember giving him my surname, very few people knew it. I wondered how much he had told Emiliana. It worried me excruciatingly how much she did and didn’t know. Luciano’s words stung, like a needle stabbing my skin. The man had gotten under it, I wasn’t going to deny it. His words slithered through my veins, searching for my vulnerabilities and feasting on my insecurities. He was right. I didn’t deserve someone like Emiliana. But that didn’t mean I couldn’t still do my job and keep her safe.

The company was accused of plagiarism and infringement. Dana was not planning to stay idle throughout her stay in California so she decided to research about the CRUZ company. It was created by the Cruz couple and when Manuel died, Henry took over as the CEO. Dana had to confess that she had been hearing of the CRUZ company in the past years during her stay in Italy. Reschedule the investor call to tomorrow. And cancel my dinner with…” His voice trailed off, and he finally looked at me. “…actually, leave that one.”

What he saw was his favorite second in command, Ramirez the person who helped him on his crazy journey. "Ramirez!? How did you get here? " He asked Ramirez, and the young man smiled pointing out his arms.
