I made 2 varieties of cupcakes. Those are Vanilla cupcake and chocolate cupcakes. Shreya loved the cupcakes. It was a half hour later when Chan stared with disbelief at the cupcake that looked very much like a cup of hot chocolate in front of her. It was beautifully made with white fondant as the cup and handle and the chocolate meringue as the hot chocolate. On top of this sat a pretty little candle. “What is it for?” she asked, pointing chopsticks at it. “It’s your birthday cake,” replied Dara proudly. “Since you made it quite clear you don’t want a party or fancy birthday cake with the number twenty-five on top of it, Soriya and I made an executive decision we’d just go with the cupcake.”

“Seems like it.” “Alrighty.” Nancy moved to the display case and placed two cream puffs into a white paper box. Folding the lid inward, she explained, “Sush doesn’t take more caffeine when she’s stressed like that. In the last few months when she looked like she was losing it, I normally treated her to one of these babies or matcha cupcakes. Since the cupcakes are sold out, this is our only option.” As Nancy jabbed the numbers on the cash register, she asked, “She sent you to get them?” “No,” Greg replied curtly, placing a note on the counter and saying, “Keep the change.”

Cattleya’s POV One week later, I was in a baking mood, humming along to a cheerful tune. It was one of those days when everything felt right, thanks to Jaxon. He's always been so supportive, helping me navigate life's stresses with patience and understanding. His persistent love and belief in me have made all the difference. Once the cupcakes were fresh out of the oven, I packed them up and headed to the garage. My mom and niece were waiting for me at the cemetery, and I wanted to bring them a little treat.
