I wasn’t sure if he’d already known or why he would put her off now but it continued to anger me and also concern me that Curtis knew the gig was up. They were still navigating what the relationship looked like, with him being our active Beta and her just stepping into the Alpha position. Zac had given him full permission to leave, even letting him pick his predecessor. He said he'd consider it when things quieted down around the pack. I think he harbored guilt for being here taking care of the pack when Tate got killed, and Tate and Grayson were pretty good friends as well. I know Zac plans to talk to him about it again, urging him to train Connor and get on to living his own happily ever after. I had loved Grayson being the Beta and Zac's friends, but I'd be lying if I wouldn't love for Connor and Audire to live on our floor.
