Project Heartbreak
“You are insane.”
“It’s a solid plan. We’d get a little apartment. You could take your moody pictures, and I’d bring home the trophies. We could get a dog. No, no dogs, you are scared of them, we could get a cat.”
“Stop it,” I groaned, trying to hide my face, but a traitorous laugh was bubbling up in my chest. This was absurd and ridiculous.
“Come on, say you’ll think about it,” he pressed, leaning in, his smile infectious. “I’d be a great husband. I’m excellent at... home economics.” The way he said it left absolutely nothing to the imagination.
