Aerian – I was left on the doorstep of a woman as a newborn. My parents clearly did not want me. I am an angel, more precisely I am a dark angel. Instead of the normal white wings and feathers mine are black. The woman who raised me until I was 16 explained that I was special that I needed to be protected. She was also killed the next day. They were looking for me. I have been on my own since. I have been hiding in Maine for the last few months. I have kept to myself but apparently that was not enough to keep me from finding my mate. I will not give in to this bond. My life depends on keeping under the radar! Ruairi – I found her! I came across my mate working in one of my restaurants. S

Her eyes wandered to Sandro's, and she realized his once beautiful sea-green orbs were starting to turn into a darker colour. It was different from the colour of the berserker wolf which was red with golden rings around it and the normal wolf which was black and flecked with gold. This was the blackest of black. A freaking vantablack and the more she stared at it, the more she felt it drawing her in. Thalia shook her head and bit her lower lips. “Sandro!” She shouted as he began to shift. “Get the fúck out of here!” He growled, straining against the chain restricting him.

* --- **Zara’s POV** I reach the twins’ room to find it empty, the window open. Panic claws up my throat until I spot them—two small figures sitting atop the watchtower, their glow mingling with the stars. Silas points to the horizon. “You see it, right? The darkness.” Selene nods. “It’s like the fissure. But bigger.” I follow their gaze. The northern sky pulses with a sickly violet hue, tendrils of shadow seeping into the stars.

Armed with an extra blanket that she found from the cabinet near the bathroom, Morana wrapped her body with the blanket. Even though it's not as warm and comfortable as when she sleeps on the bed, but at least it's good enough to get through this night. Before going to sleep, Morana turned off all the lights in the room, leaving only the dim moonlight on the night sky to illuminate this room, because of the pouring rain. Morana loved this kind of dark atmosphere, making her feel like she could hide in the dim night, as if her existence had no meaning so nothing could hurt her anymore.
