Just as they began to tie her body, a darkness stronger than the one in my vision descended over the place. This darkness wasn’t just a state of the world before me. This one was alive. And it moved. It was faster than anything I had ever seen. And before I could even blink, it became a person and attacked the people surrounding the girl. While the girl and I froze, the people began to scream. They echoed the same fear she had in her cries as the dark entity began to get at them. And one by one, bodies began to fall, all drained of their blood.

The air grew colder, and the oppressive darkness seemed to deepen as the creature emerged, its figure towering and ominous. The minion she had summoned was no ordinary servant of darkness. Clad in armor that seemed forged from the void itself, the being moved with a silent grace that belied its hulking frame. Its eyes, empty voids of pure blackness, stared forward with a single-minded focus. Each step it took was soundless, as if the very ground feared to acknowledge its presence. A long, serrated blade hung at its side, dripping with a dark, ichorous substance that sizzled upon contact with the air.

Now, the irony of it all was that this entity did not even wait for our romance and unity, it roared and shriked, And then it threw out a wave of dark energy from its hands, this action that it took made the candle lights die out immediately, and all that was around us was just pure darkness.

His presence seemed to suck the air from the room, devouring the light and turning it into something else—something dark. For just a second, it reminded me of the Game Master. They both held that darkness within them, but they were two sides of a coin. The Game Master’s darkness reminded me of a dark sky filled with stars, the beautiful darkness that consumed the day. They seemed to emerge from every direction and none at all, their dark, ethereal forms slithering around my feet like living tendrils of night.
