Jake Carson I hear someone screaming loudly, making me jolt up in my bed. Danika was sitting upright, with her face as white as a ghost, staring at the window. Did she see a shadow or something? But before I could get up and look, I hear gunshots firing and shattering the bedroom windows, making Danika scream again as she holds on to my hand tightly. I quickly remove the gun kept on the nightstand, trying to figure out where the sounds were coming from.

"You know what Daisy, I will leave the offer open to you…think of the whole lot of things you can do with twenty billion dollars." Wade Roberto's voice was laced with concern. "I mean…your Dad can be the founder and CEO of the great Hunter's Empire, but imagine the feeling of knowing that you turned a billionaire without Daddy's help." With that said, Wade Roberto dismissed Daisy Hunter. As she left, Wade Roberto crossed his legs on the mahogany and smirked. "Daisy Hunter will come around, I'm certain of it." Blake stood up and roared, "Reject each other!" His aura came over me, paining me as my neck bowed to him and then turned to Luke saying, "I, Jasmine Dale, reject you, Lucas Hemming, as my mate." It felt like a sword had sliced right through my chest, shredding my heart and lungs, the pain being practically unbearable. Kendra helped me stand and found some sweatpants and a shirt in a drawer helping me put them on and we made our way out of the room walking upstairs where we were face to face with Dash and Dane who seemed to be in a stance for battle. I clung to Kendra, and Dane’s eyes flicked over to me, growing wide as he took in my battered body. His eyes glowed red and his body tensed with anger as his gaze tore from me to his brother. “You will die today brother…” He growled, turning the floor beneath our feet into an earthquake. “And I will show you no mercy.”

Sofia stayed quiet as she hugged her daughter tightly, and it wasn’t until both of them pulled away to look one another in the eye that the woman seemed to react as she wiped her daughter’s tears. “I missed you too, little one. He hugged his mother from behind and kissed her cheek before she nodded in understanding, most probably smelling the wolfsbane.
