“I wasn’t even with you.” She huffed again. “I thought I saw Drew.” We all stared at her, not sure what to say. Drew was her friend who died at the Eidolon Festival, the night Cadence first found out about Vampires and this whole crazy world. “I chased her down the hall. But it wasn’t her.” “It was Laura,” Aaron explained. I was almost as shocked to hear that—but then I figured Laura had to have shown up somewhere since Sam did. “What happened?” I asked my sister for the hundredth time. “Did you kill her?”

“I can imagine.” THALIA Life is so fragile. I spoke to Luna Serenity this morning, we made usual conversation and she mentioned she was going for a check-up at the hospital. It was supposed to be a routine check-up, and she was very excited to come and see the structure built in her honour. Two hours later I got a call from Eliza telling me that Alpha Ezra and Serenity were in an accident, a drunk driver drove right into their car and Serenity died before the ambulance got there.

Clayton stated coldly. “No!” Laura screamed, kicking at the guards as they dragged her away. “Clayton! I’m perfect for you! I am your Luna!” As she was hauled through the hallway, Laura turned as pale as a ghost. She knew the punishment for using dark magic was execution. She needed to contact Milana. Milana had given her the potion, and now, she was Laura’s only hope of escaping death.

Frost crusted the edges of the reservoir, spreading in fractal patterns that had no business existing this far beneath the earth in early autumn. Thalassa knelt at the water's edge. She did not hesitate. She dipped her fingers into the black, brought them to her lips, and tasted. Her face contorted, not with disgust but with a grief so profound it had no human name. "Death." Her voice trembled, the tide-sound breaking against the cavern walls. "Not recent. Not only Perrin. There are older deaths here, layers of them. The water has been drinking sorrow for years, and something has been feeding on the dregs."

Lucan asked, walking into his room. “I mean, you and Laura hooked up after the war.” “You’re crazy, Sel,” Laura said, grabbing a snack from Selene’s hands. “Where have you been?” Selene asked. “With Lyra,” Laura snapped. “What?” “We checked on her in the prison and she wasn’t there. We eventually found her in the dining hall, half alive,” Laura explained. “What?!” Selene exclaimed. “Where is she now?” “She’s at the Alpha’s chamber. He carried her there after we found her almost dead. The healer also treated her there,” Laura said. “Thank moon she’s alive,” she added.

Dante wasn’t in much of mood to talk to anyone but, with a frustrated sigh, he pushed himself out of his seat and walked over to the telephone on the desk. “This is Dante Connaught speaking.” “Mr Connaught. I apologise for the call at such a late hour, but I have information that you might find useful.” The nameless male voice responded. “It’s in regard to Thalia Georgiou.” “Thalia Georgiou died in an accident several weeks ago.” Dante growled ready to hang up. “Incorrect. Thalia is very much alive and somewhere in the UK. I can help you find her if you are still looking for her. All I ask is that, no matter how things go, my pack is kept out of it.”

Laura tried to speak, but her voice came out broken. “I… s-sorry… it… was… a… joke…” Tears streamed down her face. “I… won’t… do… it… again…" Celeste smiled coldly. “Oh, you won’t do it again.” Her claws tightened. “Because I’m about to end your life.” She raised her other paw, preparing to rip Laura’s heart out. Suddenly...Zack moved.

“What happened to her?” Demi sighed deeply as she moved to sit next to him and brought her knees up to her chest. “The fight ended and she went out, Derrick stayed behind, and we got a call at three am from the hospital that Laura had overdosed on pills, drugs, alcohol. We drove all the way there and Derrick – he was hysterical, he was screaming at the doctors and nurses to let him see her, but they wouldn’t. We were forced to wait in this private room and…they couldn’t save her. Laura died at four am that night from an overdose.”

“Do you have anything you wish to say before your sentence is carried out?” “You’re pathetic! No wonder he came to me!” Laura yells. Enyo stops her from saying anything else by knocking Laura onto her back and taking her throat in her mouth. Laura struggles, pulling on Enyo’s fur, but it’s useless. Enyo looks at Luna Cassia, who simply nods. With one swift motion of her head, Enyo snaps Laura’s neck. The moment Laura dies, there is a loud howl from the direction of the front gate. We see Damon’s large gray wolf running in our direction a moment later. As he approaches the group, he shifts and moves through the crowd.

I whispered fiercely to Dennis after he had dipped his head to my face, resisting the urge to bolt toward my husband and feeling my heart jump in my chest when Alexander’s eyes found mine, and his lips tightened as though it pained him to see me crying. What the hell was wrong with him? How dared he try to be a bloody messiah? Now? “Accident off the highway, cliff not far from the manor...cops found two bodies, Xander and me, we’ve confirmed that it's Ghost and...and Laura Diego.” He mumbled back and I clapped a hand to my mouth to keep from gasping, feeling tears spring to my eyes as a hollow feeling started inside me.
