Cackling manically, Queen Nymrit looked like a devil from the seventh level of hell, as she viciously twisted the dagger in the demon's back. Iblis snarled and tried to yank the dagger out of his back. But as if he had been paralyzed, he couldn't move a limb and sunk to his feet. 'Demon Slayer!' All at once, thousands of needle-sized pricks pierced his organs and stabbed his heart. A sweet taste surged in his throat, and he puked a mouthful of blood.

She began to hum - a sharp, piercing note that cut through the demons’ frequency like a scalpel. The shadows recoiled, clutching their heads. "The song," Silas realized, glancing back at her. "Keep going!" The second demon lunged, its fingers elongated into obsidian blades. Silas intercepted the strike, his forearm taking a shallow cut that bled gold and crimson. He didn't flinch. He grabbed the creature’s head and slammed it into the marble mantelpiece, the stone cracking under the impact. "Is this the 'prize' you wanted, Silas?" the third demon taunted, its voice echoing from every corner of the room. "The girl is a beacon. She is the calling song for the end of your world."
