Alpha DECEPTION
“Oh, I’m sure, but a little surrender to the Alpha isn’t going to hurt, is it?”
I laughed. “You do know I’m the Cortez Alpha, right? I don’t surrender to anyone.”
“You might tonight.” he said, his grin widening.
We walked together to the carousel, the music was cheerful and slightly out of tune, the painted horses leaping up and down in a blur of color.
Ralph held the door open for me, bowing slightly, and I swatted his hand away in mock indignation. “Stop, I’m not a princess in a storybook.” I said.
