RPOV—Two Weeks Later "What do you have there?" asked Mia, her light blue eyes curious as she sat beside me on a majestic fountain, clear water pouring behind us. Her scarlet-red gown sharply contrasted the paleness of her skin and lightness of her blond curls. She smiled sweetly while waiting for my response.

Aria had just showered and joined them back in the living room when Mia gasped. She had her phone in hand, eyes wide. “What?” Lena asked around a mouthful of chips. “Did you see another image of a man with chest hair?” Mia didn’t answer right away. “What is it?” Jade prodded, leaning over. Mia slowly looked up, excitement lighting her face. “She’s back!” “Who?” Aria asked casually as she sat beside her. “My favorite anonymous gossiper,” Mia said. “On your Uni’s blog.”

She was so beautiful that no man could resist her charms, her makeup was light and exquisite but she didn't forget to apply the reddish lip gloss which always made her easily outstanding and noticed wherever she came.

Mia abruptly lifted her head, leaving a red lipstick stain on Timothy's collar. She retrieved her lipstick, wrote a phone number on his shirt, and lightly patted his chest, remarking, "I have urgent matters to attend to at the moment, so I can't engage in these games. Get in touch with me later." Witnessing her bold actions, Timothy's eyes briefly flickered with confusion. His gaze shifted to her face, where he noticed a beauty mark at the corner of her eye—a feature Mia didn't have. He exclaimed, "You're not Mia, are you?"

Saying that she didn’t have time to dry her hair she plaited it into a single braid that she pulled over her shoulder. If she was fishing for me to apologize for our extended shower, she’d have a long wait. Although I didn’t think she needed it, Mia added a small amount of makeup. The mascara made her beautiful eyes look even wider and the blush gave a rose hue to her cheeks. Her lips were still slightly swollen and so fucking kissable. I pulled on a clean pair of blue jeans and Mia helped me with a button-up shirt, collar open, tails out, and sleeves rolled up. It was easier to get over my bandages and loose enough to cover my holster.

“Ok fine! Just mascara and eyeliner, and maybe a little blush, and obviously lip gloss.” Ugh. I knew this was a stupid idea. Mia moves swiftly, swiping and lightly brushing as she does her best to make me look presentable. I tap my foot impatiently as she finally pulls away. I open my eyes and she is smiling brightly at me. “Just some clear gloss.” She reassures me. “To not overwhelm you.”

"Did you know his real name is Rupert?" Mia giggled again. "I know," she rolled her eyes, black lipsticked lips peeling back from her very white teeth as she smiled. "Silly, right? But he was Blood when I met him." Mia had this thing, adapting herself like a chameleon to the people she cared about. I wondered why she was Goth again, considering the rest of her family favored the overdone model look and, for the first time, considered maybe I was wrong about her and it wasn't a way for her to hide after all. If she had enough of a backbone to revert to who she really thought she was, maybe there was hope for her as leader yet.

I didn't know why that crap needed her around. "Ace." Mia's voice sounded from behind. I turned to see her, and planned to complain about her time wastage. But, I ended up noticing her, even though I tried to unobserve her. She wore an off shoulder, dark blue pencil gown, and a black, three inch heels. Her hair was packed in a ponytail and her round earrings jumbled as she walked to me. Her pale face looked adorable in those blended foundation, and her lips glimmered in the dark red lip stick. Her makeup as a whole brightened her look.
