Taking the stiletto off Francine’s foot, Kate dunks both it and its pair into the bag.
{I’ll have to carry her,} Kate thinks nervously to herself. {But how? Francine’s much bigger than me.}
In that instant, a car pulls over behind Kate. Kate stiffens in fright and doesn’t look over her shoulder.
“Ma’am Kate?” a male voice asks.
Kate gingerly turns and sees the car’s color. Silver. Her whole body slackens in relief.
“I’m your Grab,” the driver announces.
“Oh, thank god, Kuya,” Kate says. “Come help me carry my friend. She drank too much.”
