Because I was wondering about Mom's sobriety, I glanced over at her glass and saw it was more than half full. A moment later, I recalled it was still only her second mixed drink. I got free a day early and headed for the beach. I knew I was walking into a maelstrom, but it was the beach. Mom hasn't left my side since my episode of going totally overboard with alcohol...she told me Hakeem nursed me to sleep but I don't remember all of that at all I just remember me being in my emotion and having some wine to calm my damn stress down, I didn't like the fact that mom scared Brittney by letting her wake me up coz Brittney was crying when she told she thought I was dead and that pained me to the core...it's just messed up.
