Mom just replied calmly, "Oh, pipe down and take a good look. Today, I'm going to teach you a lesson through Helena's suffering, so that you'll commit it to memory. "Never touch a drink when you don't know where it came from, and for goodness' sake, stop guzzling soda all day long." My eyes widened in disbelief. It was literally a matter of life and death, and Mom was actually using it as a teachable moment for Irwin! Dad was trembling with rage, his voice cracking. "Helena is barely holding on, and you still—" He was so furious that he couldn't even finish his sentence, but Mom was completely unfazed.

I gazed up to our old wooden clock. It was half past 10pm already and my mother was yet to return. When my mother arrives late, she always struggle with customers especially drunk ones who wouldn't want to come home. When thier resistance becomes unbearable, she locks her bar after taking all her stuffs in and deserts the drunk customers addressing thier unseen friends. Shortly later, my mother arrived home. I could hear her fetching water from our drum into the bathing bucket. Each cup of water she fetched was immediately followed by another. She was tired.

If she wasn’t high on drugs, she was passed out cold from all the alcohol she drank. “We split up, Momma, don’t you remember?” She shakes her head; no I didn’t think she would but I can’t hold it against her. Momma has issues and it’s my job to help her and nurse her back to good health with all the help around me that I now have.

Consumed by anger and drowning my sorrows in alcohol, I found myself spiraling deeper into the abyss of despair. As I took another swig from the bottle clutched in my trembling hand, a tap on my shoulder jolted me from my drunken stupor. I turned, my bleary eyes struggling to focus on the figure before me. I didn't pressure Nick to fill me with informations because I knew he didn't want to talk about it right after what happened. ~*~ I returned home after the exhausting party a while ago. Mom says shakily. "Emma, don't fall down while you're walking to your husbands." Lydia yells out loudly. "Here, drinking some red wine will smooth your mood." Mom gives me a glass of wine. I drink it and it does help me feel relaxed. "Yesterday we were so nervous, mom drank a whole bottle of wine, and then she was too hungover," Lydia tells me. "Lydia, aren't you nervous?" I ask. "I am nervous. But I gotta drive mom home. She even could not walk straight last night. She smells like shit and looks horrible."

How the fuck this happened? "Aw, you're awake now, Luciano?" I was surprised when I saw my mother enter my room, as usual, she was holding an expensive bottle of wine again, based on her appearance she looks drunk and drugged. She looks like she wasn't herself and under the influence of the fucking drug.

When the baby comes, I believe the fathering and daddy habits will pop out plus she will be there to cater after the baby and then I don't have to worry about the daddy habit popping out or so it is. We entered into a staring contest, waiting for who to speak up first. I was waiting for her to move away or better still go away so I could go freshen up since I reeked of alcohol and also meet Krystal but it seemed the old woman was not letting me go so soon.
